Duncan plays great defense.

Bosh knows how to spell defense.

When we looked our best last season I thought we resembled a poor man's version of the Spurs. Their D allows them to get out on the break, they don't just run for the sake of running, which we figured out in late December.

ClingRap; i was responding to lyrrad nation's comments about BC's phoenix teams. i don't think we're a fast break team, but i do believe we are completely offensively orientated.

i also think it's ludicrous to compare our make-up our team to the spurs. they're a defensively disaplined club with defensively capable players. i'm fully aware that it's nearly impossible to have such a blend of competent players on both sides of the floor, but without trying to acquire players capable of this notion we'll continue to be bounced out of the first round.

Hey Tuggle.

Teams ain't exactly giving away top defensive guys.

So please don't make it sound as if it's so simple.

You haven't offered a u ique idea here bro, every GM in the league is trying to do the same thing.

BC ain't perfect, but he is miles away from a failure.

See how happy you or any of his critics are if he walks for New York.

I think what's interesting to note is that BC has allowed us to have something we haven't had in awhile as well. Tradeable assets that other teams could potentially covet. Just something to think about.

wasnt comparing our team to the spurs talent wise, but philosophy wise, BC is trying to duplicate what san antonio has managed to do. also, another aspect here that BC hasnt really gotten a chance to prove himself is the draft. he's had one real draft so far.

the spurs philosophy is far different than what we're creating here.

i understand comparing players such as bosh-duncan fork-parker as what you might be referring to, but again, the defense man, the defense. their philosophy revolves around getting players who can cover their positions, with the surprise addition of a finley type player every now and then who can help relieve the scoring loads. BC covets finley's.

but the spurs have their problems too. Without Manu, as was prooven yesterday, they have a lot of problems to score. They can defend but they cant score.

the spurs front office philisophy and the coaching philosophy are greatly interrelated. im only talking about the front office philosophy. it starts and ends there. the defense, well the spurs can defend better, but i made that point as a main distinction between the two teams. anyway..
