Brandon Roy

BC was worried about Roy's knee, grabbed him Bargnani.

Maybe he wasn't wrong.

Further to this, if a guy says Oneal is finished, does that mean Roy is finished????

What guy? There was nothing about O'Neal in the article...

If you are talking about meniscus - that's the easiest knee problem to correct. I will have my right ACL repaired within a year and that will require 6 months of intense rehab. Meniscus, on the other hand, takes about 2 months to rehab and people are walking without crutches in 3 days.

Superjudge 08-19-2008 04:02 PM

hmm.

Al I am saying is that the link between the two is really fun.

You listn to fans make thier predictions, give thier opinions etc. We all do it. And I remember everyone say Roy was a HUGE liability with a bad knee. And here, it rings true a little, as he needs a meniscus repair.

O'Neal (when I said "a guy" I meant any guy, hypothetically) has a Meniscus tear, he's rehabbed it 100 now and is ready to rock, and everyone says he's finished, done, washed up.

I think it goes a long way into showing how little people really know.

I find it entertaining.

for the record, I never doubted Roy would be good, and I never doubted O'Neal would return strong.

one down...one to go for ole Sj.

Understood. Agreed. If everything we were told to date about the history of JO's injury is true, there is nothing that should prevent him from coming back as strong as ever.

Superjudge 08-19-2008 04:06 PM

Amen.

IF.... "if" is always there aint it.

alot of "if's"

Gurk 08-19-2008 04:23 PM

Simply put,bad knees in basketball aren't good.It could cut your career way short. And the older you are the more difficult it is to come back from it and be as effective.

Its minor. Hes gonna be back up and running in like a month. Anyone coulda had the injury.

We shouldnt keep on bringing up Roy vs Bargs because no one in the history of the world wanted us to pick Roy #1 before draftday, anyone who says otherwise is a liar. It was Bargs, Aldridge, or Gay

You are correct, sir. Most of us acknowledged that Roy was the most NBA-ready of the top picks, but noone advocated taking him with #1 that I can remember.

Who gives a shit, the post isn't about that. It's about an interesting situation, and a tale of two different scenario's and public perceptions on the exact same injury.

Gosh.

Why is everything an argument?
