Default Brandon Jennings' Poop Don't Stank.

This is probably the wrong forum, but I didn't really feel like this belonged in the NBA talk section either. By the way, this article is essentially him telling everyone that he's better than Rubio.

Quote:
Brandon Jennings won't be joining the Ricky Rubio fan club anytime soon.

The promising point guard who skipped college in order to play professionally in Europe was quick to call out Spanish international and fellow hot-shot prospect Rubio for being overhyped, SI.com reports.

"Yes. Because he played in the Olympics, he's been playing pro ball since he was like 14. So there it is right there," Jennings was quoted as saying. "I can't wait to play him, though, in summer league. I'm just letting you know that now. I can't wait.

"Yeah, I think I'm a better player than he is," Jennings told reporters after working out for the Sacramento Kings Friday. "I just shoot the ball better than he can. The only thing I've seen him do sometimes is when he has a home-run pass or something like that. I think the dude is just all hype. I can't even front. I'm just going to be real with you guys."
NBA draft prospect Brandon Jennings says Ricky Rubio is overrated - ESPN

While it's a good thing to appear confident in your abilities with draft day closing in, I think he is trying to hype himself up a tad too much.

someone's bitter about not being the top selection......its probably because everyone was talking about how he would be the no1 pick before he went to europe...... now hes not even gonna be the top point guard selected.....

I think he is a better player than people expect. Not better than Rubio though.

Rubio is better than Jennings right now, no one can doubt that
but in 5 years it might be a diffrent story
the best PG from this draft won't be Rubio or Jennings

I remember that it was going to be Jennings going first. Now some mock drafts have him going 13th and he's bitter now

Who then?

I think if you could somehow measure the potential of the PGs in the draft, Rubio's ceiling is the highest. But I see Rubio as being the most volatile in terms of panning out too - he could be great, or he could be shit on the ground. I'm looking forward to seeing the kid play though.

You just listed every point guard in the draft? How about something definitive?

I'm still confident Rubio has the highest ceiling in the whole draft. Of everyone. But there's a high bust potential there too.

jennings is fucking awesome

him and rubio also played against eachother once too
rubio had 0 points, 2 assists, and 2 turnovers
jennings had like 12 points 6 assists (around there)
so he isn't just talking out of his ass either
is he better? i haven't seen either play enough to determine but like everyone says you have to build your brand and i guess thats what hes doing
there both great but for some reason i love jennings style
he is also a good kid and donated 50 000 when italy had there earthquake

He's also an idiot who's talking smack when he's not even in the NBA yet. Wasn't he supposed to be a lock for the lottery but went overseas and his stock plummetted to the point where he's pegged to be the 13-14th pick because he was so mediocre?

He won't be the pick at nine but if the Raptors trade in to get another pick in the mid-teens, Jennings is very much a possibility then. He'd make a nice backup.
