What position are we better at?
You do realize that more than 5 players play in a game correct? And Amir Johnson is better than Yi. Kleiza will be our SF. Bargnani will be around 25 points/8 rebounds/2 blocks which makes him better than Lopez.

Thanks for playing. And for the record, our roster shits on the Cavs.

And Bargnani will be better defensively than Lopez! He won't shit golden nuggets, but McNuggets - no problem. You'll want to go with the Honey Dijon dipping sauce.

It's definitely possible.
On paper nj had a pretty good team, nobody would have predicted 10 wins for them before the season. They had problems with injuries, management and coaching headaches, and after a while they just didn't care anymore.

Our roster is not heavy on stars, but we'll be much deeper than njn was, and our chemistry will be very good. And we won't have 1000 people in the stands, we'll actually have a home court advantage.

Heck, we won 5 of 12 without Bosh last season, so this roster has shown the ability to play .400 ball. Replace Turk with Barbosa, kleiza and Davis, account for the large improvement expected from demar and sonny, and it's not unrealistic to even hope for .500.

Most likely number will be 32 wins or so IMO, but obviously there are still moves to be made.

The reality is that 10 wins is really hard not to surpass, there's a reason it happens once a decade ...

also the youth in nj were the starters, but the majority of the youth in toronto will be coming off the bench

I think we'll end up with 27 wins to tell you the truth. This is going to be an ugly season by the standard of the last few years. I also have a funny feeling we'll lose our 3 pt record (god forbid). When all is said and done here though, judging by the young talent we have, I think we'll have a 45+ win season in the next year or 2.. we're only going to get better.

Starting to really love Davis and DD, seems that Weems has to lose that ego he has going. He must think he is superman, the savior of the Raptors. Someone please tell him to just continue his high flying act, continue to run the court and just play your damn game.. kthanks..

Our team isn't even set yet ... way too early for predictions.
No matter what happens for the balance of the summer ... we will have a better season than NJ

Obviously.

And even if he does, looks like 4 of our 5 starters will be between 21-25yrs old.

who were those 5 wins against? Nets twice, Wizards twice and Bulls? or something like that.

We would have been 0-12 or 1-11 in that stretch if we didn't play those teams at that time.

And the East has improved this year, there's no team that we can potentially chalk up as a win. The games vs. bottom feeders will be dog fights and we'll get blown out by playoff teams.

I expect between 10-20 wins next season, but I hope I'm wrong.

Well !st Yi isn't there anymore and Amir will start.
Even if Yi was there and he is the pride of Shenzhen
Amir is a far better player and likely Hump would start ahead of Yi
Jack & Barbosa are mmuch better than anything NJ has in Harris & Famar
Outlaw/Lee will take Weems and DD
Favours.......Klieza take Klieza who has experience.
Bargs is a better player than Lopez don't forget he was the focal point on a very bad team.

Actuall, it was 2*ny, Detroit, wizards and the nets. And we took the cavs to overtime, and had a close game in Atlanta.

Yes, they were crappy teams, but it's not like there won't be any crappy teams left next season ...

you do realize that D Harris was gone for a good chuck of the season, so was Lee and Yi
and they had no bench whatsoever (we actually have one)

Give him 20 minutes and he''ll average 7 rebounds no prob.

But people need to chill on Bargs, if anything his production will go down.
He has never faced a double team in his life, all his open looks were because Bosh commanded attention

I honestly think we'll win way more than 10 games. More like 25-35 next year with the roster as-is.

I see us as quite similar to the 08-09 Sonics, minus Durant but with a veteran PG in Jack, and better O off the bench. Maybe not the same defensively, but more complete offensively.

DeRozan holds the key for us this season. Last year he averaged 8.6 ppg. For reference, Kobe averaged 7.6ppg and TMac 7.0 ppg in their rookie seasons. Both those guys came straight from highschool, however.

I know he's not in the same league as Kobe and TMac, but if DeMar can make a similar leap to ~15ppg+ next year like those guys did in year 2 and 3, respectively, we'll have reason for optimism in Raptor town again.

I try to avoid making predictions, but I think a jump like that is quite feasible, and I'll be disappointed if it doesn't happen. Never mind the fact that DeRozan has improved his handles and jumpshot, last year he was the 5th option on a team run by PGs who were reluctant to even give the ball up to the 2nd option.

Depending on who we acquire for Jose/TPE (if anyone) DD could possibly be the 2nd/3rd option in the starting lineup. Not that I think he's ready, but the makeup of the roster necessitates it.
