Default Bosh's Reaction to the "Final Play"

I made a mistake. Joakim Noah played good defence and I need to keep my dribble next time. It wont be the last time that were in a situation like that or Im in a situation like that. You learn from it and keep going.

You just know it (the clock) is ticking and you want to get a shot off. When (Noah) came out, I should have just shot the ball. Instead, I pump-fake, hesitated just a little bit and I let him get back in the play.

Admitting its one thing (the first step of the 12-step take-a-better-shot program, I believe) but its not good enough in this situation.

It was a bad play by a guy who knows better.

i'm not a Bosh basher, but in this case he really needed to just go up strong. someone should just play him bill walton audio clips - "throw it down big man, throw it down!"

Something else to keep in mind which alot aren't acknowledging is the defense Noah did play on Bosh. We're all pissing and moaning because he let Raptors fans down (which he did with his shot selection), but you can't discount the solid defense Noah did play on Bosh too.

I love CB4. Really i do.

but i just don't have confidence in him going one on one with a few seconds to go. It NEVER works. always too much hesitation... never a pass out for an "open" shot. ah well.

shit i sound like an annoying hater-troll there. sorry.

in another thread i said it was a fine playcall. gobbledeegook....mkdfjljlsdfjsl

Bosh makes shots more difficult than they need to be and ends up paying for it

I think you guys are ridiculous, honestly. He got blocked, he didn't score. big effin deal, the guy is 24 and is a star, he'll get other chances. Effin fanatics are so dramatic, hanging on every shot as if it means the world.

The guy said he made a bad play, I think that awesome, I respect it huge, it's very UN-PUSSY of him to shoulder that blame so frankly.

Kudo's to our Guy, I support Bosh on this one.

Bingo. Thriller mentioned in another thread, you can't rely on officials at the end of the game to give you a call, and when you're a post guy going in their and not a guard going in with a lot of speed, their is going to be alot of allowable contact.

Chris just has to catch and shoot.

SJ just likes to argue against the common theme of a thread.

I think the only thread he would agree on is if someone made a thread talking about how great he was....But he does a good enough job of that on his own.

He's a jackal....and Renihan_00 is the solution.

HAHAHAHA, How could I stay mad at you? You smooth talking cat.

I'm well and hope you are too!

The problem with Bosh, which is also a good thing, is that he doesn't have the mental quickness to keep up with the physical play of the NBA.

He has to DECIDE on a play and then do it regardless of what the defence throws at him. He has become good by practicing and practicing and practicing. That is why he goes hot and cold, hot and cold. How much he TRIES is a huge factor because I don't think naturally he can outplay people!

Some players are good in the clutch - others are not. Bosh isn't a player who's good in the clutch - not that it's a bad thing - there are a lot of players who don't perform as well in pressure situations - see Garnett, Kevin - the Celtics don't even let him touch the ball on offense late in games - he's not as effective.

great players go into a zone in these situations, things slow down, hearts pumping, calm, almost like out of body experience....not bosh.he trips out.literally,he stumbles, and fumbles, and makes bad, rushed, skittish decisions.....i love cb4,but hes not the guy you want taking that shot.......i remember when vince was a rookie, butch Carter auditioned everybody that season for the go to role.doug christie failed, then he tried alvin, then he tried oak, then he tried vc with the game on the line and in clutch spots and he made buckets and ran with it.....every team needs that go to guy for that crucial bucket and time and time again Bosh and ap have failed....time to try bargs....we have nothing to lose.except the game.

I say just call an Iso for Bargs just near the top of the free throw line..... I would be happier with that.

I agree with that whole paragraph except for the point about him deciding on a play ahead of time. The greatest players in the world are reactive. If he's playing you tight, back him down and then give him a pump fake and go under. If he's playing off, give him a couple jabs and knock in the jumper. As a player, deciding what you're going to do ahead of time can usually spell out trouble especially when defenders in the NBA are so good. Chris got the ball in the post, held it and pretended to gauge Noah's defense. Then, he pulled out the most random and unnecessary up and under move I have ever seen (because he decided what he was going to do ahead of time!) and he left himself with nowhere to go.

I have never and will never question Chris Bosh's work ethic; it's how he's turned into such a solid 20 and 10 guy. But Chris Bosh was never one of those guys blessed with amazing athletic ability, inhuman basketball sense, and insane court vision. I just find that because of that, he lacks an overall basketball instinct that tends to show its worst side in late game scenarios.

how many games in the past week has Bargs been hot and the great guard duo of RokoSolomon can't seem to find him down the stretch? Kapono gave Bargs the ball in boston and he nailed the shot... not sure why those two guards who are both playing at an elite level that jose never will can't seem to find the hot shooter and right now, the BEST FUCKING PLAYER On this team/.

Don't get your knickers in a knot. No one would care if we had a decent record and weren't out boneheading it up coast to coast in more games than we're not.
