Default Bosh wants Bargnani to step it up

Bosh has a good point and its up to Bargnani to get out of this funk.

Bosh acknowledged that having Bargnani and himself in the frontcourt can create a lot of mismatches for teams, with their ability to knock down jump shots and take the ball to the hoop. But, he said, that won't happen until Bargnani becomes more aggressive.

"When he is being aggressive and I'm being aggressive, one of the post players (on the opposition) has to guard us," said Bosh. "So we can really create a lot of mismatches."

Bosh appears to be becoming really vocal the last week or so. Is he becoming...*gasp* more accustomed to being the leader of the team?

He's the "guy" on this team and i'm glad he knows it. This public criticism of Barganani is good to see IMO. He somewhat got on Andrea's case last year and it worked. and now that Gino is in the slump of his life, it'll be interesting to see how this pressure from his teammates affects him.

kind of unrelated, but i'm actually pleased to see Sam re-insert him into the starting 5. The fact remains that Andrea IS a key piece to the future here - and while he may not "Deserve" starting, i kind of like Sam's approach to force things onto Andrea. Let's all hope that these things pay off and Gino is back to wowing us raptor fans.

Does anybody else see the irony in Bosh telling Bargnani that he needs to go hard to the basket? Just wondering...

i see what you're getting at, but let's at least keep in mind that Bosh is pretty much the only raptor who is going hard to the basket at this point. At least now he is practicing what he preaches.

Yes but when Bargnani scores 42 then he's allowed to retort...

I agree with you 100% Bosh has settled for the jumper WAY too often this season, but he's still been the only productive Raptor on the court for big stretches this season. And Bosh actually hits the glass (sometimes).

Your right on kuzzy, they will be very effective playing together, started to see it last game, not only will Bargs drain his shots but will drive to the basket and set up bosh. They are only getting started you will see this team start to take off once Mitch sticks to a starting line up.I would like to see Joey in there to bust some guys but it seems that will take some time to get through to mITCH.

Bosh has been mixing it up of late...like a cake mixer, or two hands churning cream into butter, or like half coke and half root beer, which is delicious by the way.

this team needs to start beating quality oponents to garner some respect from other teams, to be taken seriously. i want to see them start competing at least with the likes of the phoenix's, san antonios, bostons, detroits and such..it pisses me off when people hype an easy schedule. its the nba, if you're a good team it shouldnt matter who you play, you get out there, play your game, put the fucking ball in the basket at will, take some charges, move the ball, lay some wood, and then go home.

Bosh is right 100% ... Raptors needs Bargs to step up otherwise this is going to be a disappointing year. Bosh keeps the boat floating, Bargs MUST get the boat at full speed. Common AB, you can do it!

Inserting him in the starting lineup should do the trick. If he's still not producing and making good judgement then I dont know what else the raps can do.
