Bosh vs. Boozer
I was at a bar the other night and got into a coversation with a few friends. Let's say you were building a team and Bosh and Boozer were available. They are both completely healthy. Who do you build your team around?

I said Boozer, just because I think his game is a little more complete on the defensive end and I think he is tougher offensively, but the room was split 2-2 and it is easy to see arguments for both sides.

What do you think?

I too would take Boozer, Jay. Not only is he tougher on defense, but he has a post game as well something that Bosh is still very hesitant with. Not to mention Boozer can hit the 17 ft jumper that Chris likes to take so often.

Boozer all the way. ;)

It's not even close right now. You can never claim Boozer won't go to the basket and is a softie when it comes to that, whereas with our franchise player it's nearly every game. Boozer has such a wide variety of moves Bosh cant really even be compared to him on the offensive end because Bosh really only has 2 moves, the standstill jumper or the quick drive to the hoop.

Both really suck on defence but Boozer is a better rebounder. Boozer everyday as of today.

Boozer For The Win!

If Bosh plays the way he played tonight, then Bosh all day

Jay 12-23-2007 01:06 AM

Well, duh. Problem is, he only decides to play aggressively every once in a while. If he turns his game tonight into a regular occurrence, then there is a little more to debate. When he is attacking like that, he turns into the player he can really be. Let's also take into account that the Suns can't really play D. They just want to get the ball back so they can score on you again.

Lets not forget the fact that Boozer is 27 and Bosh is 23.

Just something to keep in mind when starting a franchise.

I'd take neither. No guys with acne on my team.

Ya. aggree with thug. Bosh for me.
His age would definately play a factor for me. And i know this hypothetical situation calls for both players being healthy, but Boozer's past health concerns would have me leaning towards Bosh as well.

Boozer. He attacks it every night. He bangs with the best of them. And Boozer JUST turned 26, not 27. Nice try.

Sick, Wicked and Nasty! 12-27-2007 08:07 AM

I think Boozer is the better player at this moment but I don't build a team around him. I don't see him as a leader or even the character guy i'd want as the face of my franchise. He's a good backup core guy but Bosh is going to be a leader and if it were a choice for franchise player between the two i take him every time.
