Bosh to start on Sunday

Looks like Chris is starting in place of Garnett on Sunday.

Great to see Bosh get the nod to start. Next year it will be both Bosh and Calderon starting for the East.

Aslong as King James is aroumd, and KG, Bosh will have a tough time getting a start imo

moremilk 02-15-2008 09:04 PM

until KG retires probably - unless we become really good, like #1 in east, and even then it might not happen.

Congrats to Bosh who cares about the circumstances. Bosh is starting and he has been on fire lately. Who really cares about KG his celtics won't even make to the finals in the east this year. All this regular hype won't get them to the east finals.

Who's better then? Detroit? If they can remain healthy then I see no one from the East taking down the Celtics. The Pistons will make it interesting, but Boston if all the their main three can remain healthy are pretty much unstoppable.

We can't use their lack of depth as an excuse either because their bench are showing us that they come to play. Posey, Big Baby, House and Tony Allen are for real. As much as I hate the Celts right now, its probably out of jealousy. They're damn good and I wouldn't be surprised if they won it all this season. :(

I hate the celtics too maybe its jealousy, however, the celtics are not as dominating as they were at the start of the season. I just see a major upset in the making. Time will tell.

they are a complete team - there will be no upsets. The only upset I can think of is lebron going crazy - but I don't think it will be enough. Boston - Detroit is a lock for the east finals this year.

pimpery 02-17-2008 03:46 PM

I said it before, ill say it again, Detroit = best team in the league!! nevermind just the east.

Torontosaurus 02-17-2008 04:45 PM

I can see Bosh being voted in as a starter in about 2-3 years.

As a player KG will still be a dominant PF for about that long (I believe he'll be 32 this year) and is one of the most popular players in the league.

JMO, but I think its pretty much a popularity vote so the only player Bosh has to worry about in the East in the future is YI

As for Boston, gotta say I was surprised, but their bench is keeping them on top. But Detroit should be able to handle them if they don't fumble it or the Cavs if Lebron "goes off" like he did against Detroit last year.

Probably because:

a.) they're pacing themselves so they don't become last year's Mavs
b.) Pierce, Allen, and most importantly KG have all sat out some time with injuries

So many people are calling the Celtics hype, and I just don't get that. One of the best big men in the league, a deadeye shooter who spreads the floor, a slashing type all-star SF who draws lots of fouls and a defense-minded team and young, eager role players. They're sick, once KG comes back they'll turn it on in the second half of the season.

If the Celtics don't dominate the second half of the season when KG returns then I'd be even more worried because that means someone convinced KG to save something in the tank for the post season...

pimpery 02-18-2008 10:48 PM

lol so if the celts dominate they are a shoe in, or they dont its cuz they are saving it for the post season and are a shoe in.... haha nice position to be in for them, and for you, cant lose either way with your prediction ;)

As good and as hot as the Celtics have been, Detriot isnt far behind in the standings and i just feel they know how to turn it up postseason as well as any team in the league, maybe with the exception of SA, i wouldnt bet against them and still no1 knows what the Celts will do when thrown a little controversy, its all good when your tearing up the league, i wanna see them drop behind a game or 2 in a series and then see how they respond.

moremilk 02-19-2008 01:34 PM

shaq was voted last season when he was a shadow and has barely played. Kidd has a poor season and was voted in, iverson was ahead of paul and nash. Casual fans will always vote the household names, so until KG retires, no way he'll overtake him. And don't forget about shawn marion, igoudala, butler, bosh is barely a favorite over those guys ...
