Bosh to possibly consider Heat?

Quote:

"Anything is possible, I guess," Bosh said. "I guess that seems to be an attractive place, you know, playing with Dwyane and playing in Miami and everything. I guess if they had the right chemistry, the right guys, that they could persuade guys to get there. But we'll see."

Unlike the Heat with Wade, the Raptors bypassed even offering Bosh the opportunity to sign an extension, appreciating that he would want to see how this season plays out in Toronto.

"I just will discuss those things when they get closer," Bosh said. "I'm just trying to concentrate on winning basketball games and playing good so that people will actually want to sign me."
How about I'm just concentrating on winning games for the Toronto Raptors?

Again? When did it stop. Like you said, it'll be like this for the next 8 months.

Maybe it's time for BC to give up on his boy Bargnani, and get Bosh some actual help up front.

Bmats7 11-19-2009 01:01 AM

This team is going to really miss his 32 and 17 performances that he gives us.

He's so good he might even be the #1 option in Miami.

Hopefully we can get a package of Biedrins/Ellis/Randolph though for him. That's pretty fair value for an MVP candidate right Snooch? build around Bargnani right? sounds good now when all the dust has settled and we're not in the fantasy land of the off-season?????!?!?!?!?!

trade bargnani.

Windex 11-19-2009 04:08 AM

no Personal Income Tax in Florida, same with Texas :yeah:

Bosh needs Bargs to be effetive, pairing Bosh with a traditional low post defense playing center will clog his lanes and allow for easier doubles onto him.

Why cant people understand that?

Because that isn't true. It's just an assumption you continually repeat over and over and over. You've repeated is so much that I think you actually believe it's fact. It's not even close to fact.

Good spacing in basketball isn't as simple as 4 guys sitting on the three point line.

bjjs 11-19-2009 08:37 AM

And why does this team play some of it's best basketball with Bosh and Amir on the floor together??? Amir would have a hard time beating some people on this forum in game of Around the World.

Ugh, no news in here. We've heard this same story a million times now.

its happening
either Wade goes to Chicago or he gets another big time player to play with the Heat

DVS 11-19-2009 08:57 AM

If I didn't care about the extra cash I'd go chill with Flash in Miami. Even Bosh's ugly mug could grab some tail there

Next week some writer in Chicago will have a Bosh wet dream, have nothing to write about, will dig up an old "Bosh could come to Chicago" article he or someone else wrote, paraphrase it, add in some new quotes and post it to the net. Then someone in NYC will do the same later in the year and then we'll see someone in Miami write the same paraphrased article we're reading here and then.... :haha:

Bottom line, Chicago, Miami and NYC cannot come close to offering the same sort of package the Raptors can. Second, Chicago has proven time and time again since Jordan let that they cannot put together a strong team no matter how many high lotto picks they use. NYC has good management there and all but I don't think Bosh would enjoy the level of disrespect the fans and media give their star players when the going gets tough. It takes a lot to get booed off the court in Toronto but NYC all it takes is one botched last second play...Plus he laughed at the idea once publicly. Miami, well, they're an option but again they can't offer the money and Bosh won't be the man. I also think Bosh feels comfortable with Colangelo and the coaching staff. He has to trust them because they've done nothing but work hard at bringing in talent to help him. It hasn't worked to date but the progress is visible and Colangelo is more than competent in judging talent and crunching numbers. I also think Bosh might want to be a one team player. Most of the greats made it work in the city they were drafted. If good support is in place(Colangelo), then why not try to make it work in one city? Why admit defeat when things are just finally getting sorted out and the winning culture is slowly being established? Why should Bosh flock to someone else's spotlight like a moth when he's building his own bright light? If he truly wants to be a great and I think he does, then he should think his presence in a city will start drawing attention in free agency.

How soon people forget the O'Neal experiment.

Apollo 11-19-2009 10:05 AM

The problem with O'Neal was that he didn't play down low in the post on offense. What he was doing on offense was sort of what Bosh was doing... Only far less effective or efficiently. He needed the ball too much on offense and he didn't move it enough. When the ball went to him a lot of times the play ended there.

How soon you forget it was Calderon/Parker/Moon/Bosh/O'neal (injured)

It was not Calderon/Derozan/Turkoglu/Bosh/CENTER.

Bosh does not need anyone to be effective. He scores 25+ with or without Bargs on the floor. And he grabs 12+ boards with or without Bargs on the floor.

Bargnani is a 7 foot SG as Acie once pointed out. He's awesome at 3s, got a sweet pump fake, has a decent pullup jump shot, and he can grab you about 5 boards a game (like Vince Carter). That's not what we need.
