Bosh named Player of the Week

Not too bad for a guy that's checked out.

Quote:
The Toronto Raptors' Chris Bosh and the Oklahoma City Thunder's Kevin Durant today were named the Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played March 29 through April 4.

Bosh tied for the league lead in scoring (31.5 ppg) -- 7.2 points higher than his season average -- and added 11.5 rebounds, 1.5 blocks and 1.5 steals, leading Toronto to a 3-1 record. Bosh had four consecutive point-rebound double-doubles and recorded his ninth career 40-point game (second this season) April 4 against Golden State. On March 31, Bosh tallied 34 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks in a win over the Clippers. This marks Bosh's second NBA Player of the Week award this season.

Man Bosh should miss open layups for winners and look disinterested more often.

Wow... imagine what he could do if he was actually good enough to be conisidered a franchise player?

Oh yeah.... and speaking of franchise guys... anyone see Lechoke brick that 3 with the game on the line (when he could have easily driven the ball)?

So the guy scores 42 points, grabs 12 boards, and goes to the line and shoots 23 free throws. Like most of the season, the blame should go elsewhere:

Andrea Bargnani 7 for 23, Wright 1 for 6, Sonny Weems 2 for 11.

Nice. How he has to lead us to wins in the next three games and I'll be happy

Seriously dude, you got some hate for some of the great players of our generation. First Jordan, now Lebron. Lebron was a one-man wrecking crew in that game. He want after Pierce, Garnett, Perkins whoever was at the rim. The reason for the 3 was Lebron was going for the win rather the tie. Lebron missed the three, and some free throws, but that was one of the best performances of the year what he displayed in the fourth quarter.

I enjoyed Lebron's performance, but he needed to go to the basket for the tie. He had already missed 8 threes. Just a bad decision, and I think it was in part due to the Celtics getting under his skin, so it's entirely understandable - but still wrong.

"does this get us into the playoffs?"

No - last nights loss was a big one. Eric Snow was right earlier in the week when he said Chicago was gonna beat the raps for the 8th spot. The most important game is when the two clubs play each other in a few games, the winner will most likely take the spot and to be honest i dont think they can beat the Bulls.

Lol.... I don't hate Lebron at all. Quite the contrary.

My post was sarcastic and aimed at the Bosh haters who take every opportunity available to slam Bosh when he struggles or fails in the clutch.

Guess what?

THIS HAPPENS TO EVERY FRANCHISE PLAYER.

That's what I was pointing out.

It just irks me to no end people want Bosh to leave and keep Bargs as our core..LMAO!

Bargs will never become a chris bosh, never! Bargs has room to develop but not a chris Bosh type of player or a franchise player by any stretch

Everyday I think the raps are going to be without Chris Bosh at the end of the season.and stuck with Bargs, hedo and Jose...God the future for the raps look so GRIM!

Every other team like Bobcats, Milwaukee, Atlanta that were all bearly successfull a few years ago are kicking ass, our team is just a big *sigh of frustration*

Bargs as our man to build around (makes me wanna laugh my head off), yah BC go ahead screw the team up more. Oh yeah while you are at it sign triano for a 10 year contract. You can do this!!! DAMN MLSE for giving BC so much control and DAMN BC for being so euro focused and messing our team up.

(*sorry had to rant, really frustrated as a raps fan right now*)

Wow.... It's not that we would be rebuilding around Bargnani only... if Bosh were traded, the rebuilding would center around the concept of building a team around a perimeter star, not a 4 and a 5... if you think Bargnani isn't good enough to be an all-star Center (of PF for some) on a great team someday you are lacking foresight. Almost every good team has huge production at the 2 spot... Team a big with a small and you have a base... it's clearly not working with two bigs and it just happens that Bosh will be the FA so you have to look at the option of him leaving, or trading him, or resigning him and keeping what you have.... that last option makes me not look forward to next year though.

"Someday" and when would that auspicious day be? One year from now, two years for now? I will admit that Bargs can still grow but he will never be a chris Bosh or a stoudamire or a Nowitzki or a lebron or a Dwight Howard type of player.

remember he was our no.1 pick, what has he done so far that has lived up to that status (also remember it has been 3 years of him in the leauge going on his 4th), yes he has improved since last season (1.6 ppg more and 0.9 rbs/game more) nothing so spectacular. Yesterday one of GSWs PF or SF cant remember the name of the guy blew by Bargs and ofcourse Bargs had the height and reach advantage over the GSW player yet he got beat so hard on defense and GSW player scored right there with Bargs attempting to contest the shot, even the commentator said that was lazy of Bargs on the defensive end, if he had just blocked that shot or been fast enough to deflect it in some way we wouldve won that game yesterday.

here is what NBA.com has to say on this:
Quote:
2006, Andrea Bargnani, Raptors: He may never be the best player on his team; therefore, how could he be the best to emerge from this class? Especially with Brandon Roy (6)?
So i dont know if your supposed "foresight" is really dead on, he will be a good addition to a "great team" as you so put it (something the Raptors are far from), because Bargs will not be a leader or a person of impact to build around, instead he will feed off the energy and play making of the rest of the team and elevate his game, but will he become a lebron james or a dwight howard or Nowtizki or a Chris Bosh, some one you should be building a team around? No definitely never.
