Default Bosh: "I have to come back a different dude"

Damn straight you do Bosh ..... let's hope we see him take his game and this team to the next level. No pressure though.

For one, he's tasted intense pressure and lived to tell about it. The Americans defeated Spain 118-107 in a thrilling gold-medal game, but led by just four points with under 2 1/2 minutes to play in what Bosh said was the most pressure he's ever felt in a game.

"The pressure of that gold-medal game. . . phew, it was tough," Bosh said. "It was crazy, it was ridiculous, just the tension on both sides.

"You know how you can feel the tension? Just the crowd, and we know how many people were watching, and we were preparing three years for this opportunity . . . nobody wanted to lose, we couldn't stop them and they couldn't stop us, every possession was so valuable, it was nerve-wracking."

The 24-year-old garnered rave reviews from his teammates and the coaching staff for his performance in Beijing, for his energy, his intensity on defence, and the way he kept his head when the game was on the line.

If he puts up roughly the same numbers from last season and JO stays healthy all will be good for Bosh this season!

If he plays the same way he did at the Olympics then this team will give some team a real run for their money in round 2.

Let's hope they make it to the second round before we say that they win in the second round

<frankly speaking>
Too much talk about Bosh and his Olympics this summer. He should totally dismiss the Olympics as being inconsequential to his NBA career. It's an entirely different game, nothing that happened there applies to what his role or responsibility is with the Raptors. The Olympics are damn easy compared to the NBA and 80% of the things he did in the Olympics he won't be able to do in a regular season NBA game. The difference in competition and his teammates is that much. On to the season.

I understand what's your point here, that he have learned nothing new at the Olympics, and I can agree with that.

But for his NBA career the Olympics have been very good: he has gotten that all the US people watched him playing (he is not going to get that TV coverage with the Raptors, by the moment, I hope ).

Definitely, marketing wise it has helped him. I'll concede that but as far as helping his actual NBA on-court game, I don't see what the lessons learned can be.

Too say Bosh didn't grow during the summer doesn't make sense. He grew a lot and I thought that was blatantly obvious in his improved play and overall attitude.
