It's an insider article. Can you tell me if it's anything more than just throwing out the SUN reference that had nothing to back it up? If not, then it's just more of the same echo chamber we've enjoyed for the whole year. A re-run of Full House would be about as much fun.

The whole thing was just done to fill up space in a column.

I think I may have found the ultimate source for this whole thing. It came in the comments of the Raptor Republic blog yesterday. The comments section.

http://raptorsrepublic.com/2009/10/11/morning-coffee-oct-11/

This interesting tidbit from:

San Francisco Chronicle

Biedrins has heard his name in packages that would bring Chauncey Billups, Chris Bosh or Amare Stoudemire to the Warriors, but the 23-year-old center is still here. Still, stoically producing.

Would be nice to have Biedrins and Stephen Jackson on the Raptors, which would help advance their development into a contending team. The Bosh for Biedrens and Jackson trade would work financially.

It’s obvious no max money player would come to Toronto so might as well accept reality and build the team for the future.

Calderon/Jackson/Hedo/Bargnani/Biedrens …. a winner…!!!!
So it all goes back to a bit of an opinion piece in SF, and alludes to the original trade rumour, not a new one. And it is in fact preposterous that any discussion should come out of Stumpy picking up on that original comment on a blog that refers to an opinion piece regarding all of the rumors Biedrens has faced over the last year, simply to fill out the bottom of his column. Hooray for the information age. Again.

Let's put it this way - we've discussed GS as a perfect trading partner for us with regards to Bosh early this summer. Biedrins is absolutely required to come to TO, and either Anthony or Jackson as well, so there is nothing truly outrageous or new about this rumour, except for two things:

1. The timing is all wrong. BC has gone above and beyond what anyone could have predicted around draft time in re-making this roster, so it'd be foolish to trade your best player without seeing how well he'd mesh with this new group and how much of an improvement/promise they could show to start the season.

2. GS is such an unlikely place for Bosh to stick beyond this season that the trade woild look more like renting his services for one year - and the rent they'd have to pay is rather steep, eh?

This trade might get re-visited closer to the trade deadline, especially if the Raps are not playing well, but even then it'd have to also make sense for the Warriors and I just can't see Bosh committing to re-signing with them long term next summer.

Weird timing for this rumour and i believe it's just wishfull thinking from Golden State's point of view. Jackson wants out so they're probably kicking tires. Only way i would consider it is if they offered both Steven Jackson and Biedrens. That would be awful enticing. We played two games without Chris and lost both, he comes back and we win both. Don't see why we would be the ones kicking tires. He will be integral to our team's success this year and i'd like to see what he's capable of doing with his new found body.

We can't forget that the Warriors had both of these guys as well as Randolph and still had trouble winning 30 games. Not sure how much they would help us.

Honestly let me say this again, this is a joke!

Do we all forget that we gave them garbage for Belli? Remember that everyone, they did a $$$ drop for a player thats paid like 2 million. Now they are taking about making moves to get bosh, or amir, or billups, hahahhahahah GS doesn't even know what they are doing at this point any more. Drop players for garbage now lets pick up all stars....Dream on

Randolph is a PF. He CAN play SF but not very well. Hes Lamar Odom reborn.

Hasn't this "rumor" been coming up since last December? Honestly, it seems like it gets brought up every month.

I don't like Biedrins (I knew it would have been way better to sell high last year when Bosh said he wanted to be the MVP).

The article started in the Toronto Sun not this quote LOL, espn as much as they wanted attention, would not use a source from there.

Toronto Raptors forward Chris Bosh(notes) is always mentioned as part of the four-headed soon-to-be-free-agent monster that will hit the NBA next summer. The other three heads, of course, belong to LeBron James(notes), Dwyane Wade(notes), and Amare' Stoudemire. The general consensus is that James and Wade will end up back on the Cleveland Cavaliers and Miami Heat, respectively. But Bosh and Stoudemire? Who knows?
Well, word is coming now that Bosh could be traded soon enough to the Golden State Warriors to play out this season before free agency. The Toronto Sun is reporting that four-time All-Star Bosh could be moving to California in exchange for Andris Biedrins(notes) and others.
Of course that doesn't mean Bosh won't be looking elsewhere once next summer rolls around.

Raptors' Bosh could be headed to Golden State - Sports Rumors - NBA - Yahoo! Sports
That's pure speculation. He gives no mention of any reference. This no doubt has popped up because of the S-Jax trade rumors. A trade doesn't make sense at this point unless Colangelo is pretty sure Bosh wants out.

Buffery, from the SUN, made a vague reference of a rumor. What was he referring to? He could not substantiate it at all. I would say he needed to fill up some space and went searching on the internet and found this comment. I don't know what you're talking about as far as espn goes. It was a SF Chronicle opinion piece about how Biedrens has had all the apparent offers swirling around him, and yet he still remains long after they all surfaced.

I am pleased to put this to rest, there has been ZERO talk about Toronto with my agent and GS management, this is a bogus rumour.

Sincerely,

Sj.
