Default Bosh: Free Agency will be Anti-Climactic

Free agency story won't end the way we think, says Bosh

The latest from the 2010 free-agent summer of upheaval is that it may not be such an upheaval after all. Some stars suggest the seismic shifts being projected, or feared, will never materialize

But no less an expert than Chris Bosh of the Raptors, one of the marquee names about four months away from hitting the market, said, "It can go either way. I think there's going to be a shift anyway because there's a lot of free agents in 2010. But the main guys that everybody talks about, I think it's a very strong possibility. When it comes down to it, that's where you're comfortable, that's where you're from.
Encouraging words?

Yup, sounds encouraging to me. Looks like Bosh has a feeling Wade and Bron will also stay with their teams

It depends on Wade. Wade COULD sign on in Chicago and if that happens, I think Johnson will go to NY. But Wade's either gonna stay with the Heat or go play for his hometown - and that's just a hunch. I can't see Bosh leaving Toronto.

Man, if we can get Johnson here somehow (MLSE would have to really spend),we would be a top 2-3 team in the east.

I say Miami gets either Boozer or Amare this summer and Wade stays.

BC loves Joe Johnson's game from back in the Phoenix days. Maybe he gets his negotiator's cap on and convinces MLSE to dip into the luxury tax.

Doubtfull but boy would that make my year.

Jack
Johnson
Turk
Bosh
Bargs

We'd likely have to dump some salary this summer to do it. And i highly doubt there is any chance of it happening, but i'm allowed to dream.

Probably would have to do a sign and trade, but we don't have the cap space to threaten it.

If we can dump 10Mil in salary and then sign him to around 15Mil?? Maybe MLSE could go over the tax a little. Like i said highly doubtful but that would put us right up in the top 3 teams in the east easily with Cleveland, Orlando.

I'd rather do a sign & trade with Hedo so it will be:

Jack/Jose
Johnson/Weems/Belli
DeRozan/Wright
Bosh/Johnson
AB/Evans/Rasho

Although I don't think they would want to do a sign & trade unless Hedo plays great from now & into the playoffs.

And Joe Johnson probably still resents BC from his Phoenix days.

All the good teams are in the Tax. You think Lakers got Gasol and stayed under? Or the Celtics two years ago?

Unfortunately, the NBA is slowly becoming like MLB. The teams willing to spend get the players. If it gets New York Yankees out of control, I will no longer be a fan.

for an S&T we only need MLSE to be willing to pay tax, cap space doesn't stop the trade

Jack/Teague/Banks
Johnson/Beli/Weems
Derozan/Wright/Weems

I don't think Atlanta would do that. Almost no team will take Hedo's badass contract lol.

I suppose it's a possibility. Johnson did say he wanted to be the main guy on a team but he also wanted main guy money; Phoenix just didn't have the means to pay him what he wanted. If JJ can hold a grudge like that for this long, I don't think I'd want him anyway.

if we could get JJ for say derozan and calderon, there's no way MLSE doesn't jump at it. For one, we would only pay a few millions over the luxury tax, and JJ would be a massive upgrade for us, with his top defense, shot creating ability and durability.

That's awful from an Atlanta standpoint.
