Heat Bosh Downplays Friendship With Wade

Doesn't mean they cant be teammates but meh...

Quote:
Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh were teammates on the USA's 2008 gold-medal Olympic team, and both are represented by Chicago-based agent Henry Thomas. But Bosh said the connections with Wade should not be overstated when it comes to potentially being teammates.

"I know Dwyane a little bit, not a lot," Bosh said. "We haven't spent that much time outside of USA Basketball. People always are going to look for some kind of connection. That's understandable. People are going to try to make things up. There is always going to be speculation. So I'll let everybody write their stories and keep going about my business."

I'm basically preparing for both eventualities this summer.

1. Bosh resigns:

Pros: great player, legitimate double-double, double team thread, great team-mate, great community guy. Team would stay competitive, playoff'ish team. Colangelo likely stays.

Cons: hasn't proven himself able to carry the team, commands a lot of salary. Not sure what needs to be put around him to build a winner.

2. Bosh leaves:

Pros: fresh start for franchise. Opportunity to build around dynamic guard(DD??)

Cons: team won't be playoff competitive for some time. We wouldn't have a legitimate face/all star for the franchise. Team will go back into obscurity off the nba map for a while. Colangelo likely walks.

I really dont think either way this team is going to be playoff competetive.

If Bosh stays what is BC going to do bring in another 9 new guys and see if that works with Bosh as the main man.

Season after that do it again when the previous season fails to pan out?

Rebuild on the fly, BC is a smart guy, it is time to move Bosh for a couple of solid, better fitting peices and a young guy, let the team actually get used to each other and allow for guys to play in a way that allows for them to suceed(ie: Hedo and Bargs)

Colangelo doesn't have to move him, Bosh is gone already. I say get rid of Bargs and Hedo also if possible. Hedo is going to be hard to move but I think we can get some good young defensive type players for Bargs.
