Default Bosh Close To Carter's Franchise Mark

Quote:
Raptors forward Chris Bosh needs just 73 points to eclipse Vince Carter and become Toronto's all-time leading scorer.

"How many points? Well I know now," Bosh said Monday when a reporter brought the milestone to his attention.

"It's pretty cool because there have been so many good players to come through here."

Bosh already is the franchise leader in rebounds, blocks and double-doubles.

"there have been so many good players to come through here"
Do I imagine envy for players that came through here and are now playing somewhere else?
Must be paranoia.

Its kinda sad that VC will remain the player that defines Raptors. At least until Bosh gets us to the second round of playoffs.

I don't think it's sad at all. VC's best years here were my most memorable years as a basketball fan, the man was absolutely incredible. It's just shitty he left the way he did.

Yup I remember the cash I dropped to make sure I was at every playoff game. It was worth it just to see that second round series I suppose.

Its rare for him to score 40, if he averages his normal 25 ppg then he'll do it on Sunday

Uh not really Chris.

I wish i could agree with him, but i can't. We've had good players here for a few season, but no one comes close to him and Carter when looking at the longevity of their success.

Carter, McGrady, Billups, Camby, Antonio Davis all "came through here".

We've only been around 15 years and we had the leading votegetter in the all-star game and a two time scoring champ to come through.

Those guys you mentioned: I guess i just find the "awesomeness" of their contributions minimized because they were good players for other teams. Outside of Bosh and Carter of course.

The dark shrouds that blankets this franchise will soon be lifted...until Bosh leaves, and another one is fixed in its place.
