Boris Diaw Linked To Raptors?

Maybe there is a little more substance to all the Diaw talk. Media in Phoenix are now reporting it too.

Still don't know how Ford and Nash can co-exist together unless Kerr's shopping Steve now too.

Given the bad blood between Phoenix owner Sarver and Raptors GM Colangelo would Sarver even allow a trade to happen?

Diaw for TJ AND the 17th? No thanks. Seems a bit steep. I'd love Barbosa here.

Why don't we get Shaq for TJ, Rasho and Kapono?

The thing is Diaw does a bunch of stuff the Raptors need in that starting five. He rebounds, defends and he can score. He handles the ball like a guard and no doubt would be a great fit. I agree that the 17th overall pick shouldn't be involved.

the 17th pick aswell? NO THANKS!

DIAW for TJ straight up

and the entire leauge knows that TJ will only be happy if he starts... how does this even work out with nash still there? Unless he really is being shopped....

I don't think Diaw is what we need. His career numbers are 8PPG/4RPG in 30 minutes. Now i realize that he's been the 4-5th option in Pheonix but can he be a 18PPG/9RPG.Because if we give up T.J and our pick we better get more than 8/4!

I completely agree this won't happen for a few reason. One,it's the pheonix Suns,Two T.J wants to start and i don't think they are ready to trade Nash at all!!

Nash only has another good season or two left in him. After the 2008/2009 season Nash will be entering his final season on the contract. It would be a very appealing expiring contract for a lot of teams. On top of that if Barbosa gets moved this off-season, TJ could fill in that role until Nash gets shown the door.

No way! Nash will be done in a couple years which is when we hope to be a contender in the Eastern conf.

Doug Smith doesn't think its a bad idea at all.

Itís out there being talked about. Makes a little bit of sense, doesnít it?

I like Diawís game if he could be consistent, he can guard a bunch of positions and thatís what this team needs.

Iím certain itís only one of many scenarios being bandied about here but I could sure live with that trade.

But here's something to consider: Robert Sarver's got a lot of petulant in him and I'm not sure he signs off on a deal that involves the Raptors.

Cool

peoples, first of all, i told you so (see useless posts on main page). second of all, see, theres bad blood, but they all like money, so that feud is gone. i like the diaw that played a 4, u know the agressive one, from a few years ago that can rebound, but last year's no show aint too great. maybe a change in scenery? in cocnlusion, diaw is better than tj, and what phoenix is doing is the following: they get tj get rid of diaw, than they tj to the one team that wants him - new york in some package deal from new york's side for the 6th pick. kerr wants to pick, and management wants diaw and barbsa gone. who rants the best - i do

Guys there is no way this is going to happen. We all know little TJ wants to start so why would we trade him to a team that has, probably, the best PG in the league right now.

Screw Diaw and screw Phoenix. We'll never get a deal from them anyway so what does it matter?
