Default Boredom

I don't like what's been going on with me lately when I watch Raps games. Maybe it's the pre-season blahs, but I don't find myself tuned and glued to the games like I've been for the better part of a decade.
I don't know if it's the style of walk it up pick and roll offense that they run 95% of the time, when I'd rather see them run more.
I don't know if it's the fact that I'm tired of the same old mistakes, getting hammered in the paint again and again and again.

In year's past I'd always be jonesing for some Raps ball and couldn't wait for any little bit, some scant practice footage from training camp. But this year, even with the addition of O'Neal, I've found myself losing interest in watching this team because I've grown accustomed to the in-game implosions that always seems inevitable.

Anyone else feeling this out there?

Ugh .... if we regress again this season I'd hate to see what kind of state you'll be in later this winter.

Oh, Devlin is just horrendous to sit through. It's real monotone - there's no excitement or passion. Hopefully he just going through the motions and ironing out the kinks because of the pre-season.

yeah..... just like the Raps.

I'm also down on the excitement scale for some reason.

When the team plays like shit, from both energy and smarts standpoint, how are the fans supposed to get excited? I've seen some pretty horrific Raptors' teams in the years past - but this is not one of them, at least not from the pure talent perspective.

I demand a quality product on the floor!

true. but i used to get hyped for them. the games do count in may respects, just not in terms of direct playoff contention. there's more margin for error, but the problem is seeing the same old errors again and again.
the core of this team has been together for 2+ years, you'd think they know what they're doing by now. given all the hoopsters we've had through here during mitchell's reign the odds of getting dumb ones every time gotta be slim to none.

Pre-season is bad normally and the Raps were playing with a short roster the entire way. I don't know if the announcer is to blame as much as the product on the floor. I have to be honest though I am not missing Chuck at all. I mean can you imagine how much he would have over hyped Jermaine O'Neal by this point. I can also see him showing his softer side going on and on about Jawai and his heart issues and wishing him the best. I mean I got to be honest 10 years of Chuck was enough me actually I think I tuned out at about 7 or 8.

There will be an adjustment from Chuck to Matt but I am starting and willing to make it.

Its boring because the players are playing at half the pace they usually would and half the effort, and youre not seeing the usual rotations and minutes being played in a real game and players arent running the same sets as they usually would. Its basically like watching practice for 2 hrs instead of the real thing.

I agree Cling it is boring watching the Raps, but then again its only pre-season. I know I'll be more hyped when it is the regular season
