Bogut's Opinion of Jawai

Fellow countryman Bogut just giving his 2 cents regarding Nathan and what we can expect from Jawai. :)

Did Bogut just say something nice about an fellow Aussie?

Holy shit, this kid must be better than Shaq!

He's getting older in age? That's incredible to think about, I mean I thought he was obviously probably getting older in hat-size, or obviously probably getting older in his religious faith, or obviously probably getting older in making fart sounds by sticking his hand in his armpit.

They do speak english in Australia - no? Obviously probably is my guess.

Hehe, I love it how they throw in [All Star] ahead of JO's name.

Joshz 07-16-2008 05:56 PM

I think bogut should work on his own game before critiquing others...maybe he's a better scout than player :s

Thug 07-16-2008 07:14 PM

How the hell would Bogut know if Jawai will get minutes here in Toronto or not?

Superjudge 07-16-2008 07:35 PM

Just caught this in Grange's blog today. More optimistic news regarding Nathan. :dancing:

Gotts love it.

Adequate Swag 07-17-2008 02:22 PM

Keep it in perspective guys.

The Raptors JUST drafted this kid.

No one associated with the organization in any way (even the beat guys) is going to say "Well, to be honest, he looks like a real pile of shit out there"

We will hear few, if any, resoundingly negative reviews of Jawai this summer. Until the season starts we'll hear the same "great guy, could be a real nice addition" talk.

Superjudge 07-17-2008 02:44 PM

for what its worth SWAG, Hoffa got roasted in his early outings by everyone.

:)

True.

That had a lot to do with the fact that Hoffa was a reach with a lotto pick though. Had he been a second rounder the criticism may have been turned down a bit.

There were expectations of Hoffa based on his draft position. Anything Jawai contributes, as a mid second rounder, is a bonus.

I just think he could go out there and be totally useless (and judging by his numbers, he's not setting the world on fire) and still all we would get is repeated doses of cautious optimism.
