Exclamation A blueprint for how not to build around Bosh

Quote:
Bosh's stint in Toronto gives his prospective suitors a blueprint to avoid. As a No. 1 option lacking both a premiere point guard and a defensive cog in the middle, Bosh never had the tools to lead the Raptors past the postseason fringe. Boozer and Stoudemire have each enjoyed the luxury of playing co-pilot with a Hall of Fame-caliber point guard, but Bosh has yet to experience the benefits of teaming up with an elite playmaker.
Quote:
Ideally, Bosh's future team would also feature an athletic shot-blocker who can flank him inside and protect the rim. The 6-10 power forward will surely welcome the opportunity to upgrade from Andrea Bargnani on that end as he has never had a defensively focused partner down low.

Okafor is owed over 52 million the next four years. I'm not sure there's a centre in the league worth that kind of money. Not to mention we'd probably be paying him to sit on the bench with a bum knee.

oh, he always seems to block shots + grab boards. hmm maybe, but if Bosh leaves then i guess Andrea would move back to the 4 + he will show that he can grab rebounds because thats one of his biggest weaknesses, but wouldnt you have Emeka on this team? providing Bosh leaves that is

Dwight Howard is not worth that money?

it's not like defensive C's that are also athletic shot-blockers are in abundance throughout the league... too bad Bosh couldn't have tried to be that athletic shotblocker...

Okafor looked like he was 27 going on 72 this past season.

It is indeed painfully obvious that Bosh cant win without CP3 and Dwight Howard.

No PF can win alone. Your bias against Bosh is kinda sad.

No pf can win on his own, no doubt, only I wouldnt ever say that this team has left him "alone" over the last 3 or 4 years.

And I am just the leveler against the incessant, blind praise labelling him as even a top 10 talent in the nba who needs to be surrounded by allstars at various positions in order to be successful.

He's never had another All-Star on any of his rosters. Take from that what you will, but it is what it is. If he had a top PG or SG you seriously don't think he/we would have done alot better?

Any player would benefit from an elite pg, but it's not like we "built" the team around Bosh on purpose like that. Derons and nashes don't grow on trees...

But overall I fully agree with this article, that's exactly how I view bosh. He's almost impossible to build around, but on a team that's already stacked, his max salary would be fully justified. Which is why we need to trade him, unless we pull a fast one and get a guy like jj here.

And they didn't win anything, not a round. Not even close actually.

When i say win. I mean more then getting into the playoffs in the crappy eastern conference. When was the last time either franchise won a playoff round? CB has been to the playoffs, but wow look no 2nd round berth.

Look at the conference finals. Tell me those 4 teams didn't have at least two All-star caliber players.

Do you actually think that winning means getting bounced in the 1st round? Come on.
