Default Blatent disrespect from ESPN

This is nothing new, but how can these guys be allowed to be so unprofessional and give such blatent direspect based on no facts whatsoever, moreso on bias and childishness. You would think they would be told to be a little more professional.

Anyway, this is why i wrote this. I was watching the ESPN feed of the Boston-Orlando game about 30 minutes ago and heard this exchange (they were showing the Raps highlights)-

Michael Wilbon says " The big question there is, is Chris Bosh going to stay." Jon Barry jumps in yelling over him from the background, "Thats not a QUESTION!! HE'S NOT!!!!"

Seriously, is there any integrity in sports braodcasting/writers anymore? I guess that's what you get when you have ex ball players shooting there mouth off giving "opinions" based on absolutely nothing. I long for the days of Stephen A Smith???? Ok maybe not.

Why don't they question if Wade is staying or going with that D league roster around him? Not only that it's gotten worse since we've been winning imo.

Who cares what Jon Barry thinks, really?

Also, how is he being unprofessional and childish? Isn't he there to voice his opinion and entertain by being a tad brash?

And in case you didn't know, he did play in the NBA and presumambly he does still have some connections, so maybe his opinion is based on fact.

ESPN won't reverse on this now.....they have been preaching this all year, and besides them and that loser for the Miami Herald, everyone else has at least admitted that he "may" consider staying here....why would they change anyways, the only people they are pissing off is us loyal Rap fans, and while we may read the website, ESPN isn't even shown up here. So F em.....

Atleast Bill Walton would say something like "Chris Bosh's game is not only too expansive for Toronto, but the entire universe as well".

Seriously I'm hating on these gay news about Bosh leaving; he is not leaving period or rather why would he? In the beginning of the year they said Bosh will re-sign determine how well the raptor preform. Though still sluggish there still lost more room for improvement but they are winning games and that what Counts; well to Bosh anyways. His friend Jack is here and Bosh is having his best career leading NBA in double double + he became our franchise surpassing Vince Carter and now called an All-Star player; also he's going to get max contract if he resign. Seriously I'm a noob basketball fan but I even know the fact's; I so can't wait until summer or trade deadline so all the stupid critics or whoever can STFU.

is it true that the gm's want to lower the hard cap??? If it is, these new contracts might not be that appeasing. What if nobody opts out??

Everybody is opting out BECAUSE of a potential major change in the new CBA. All signs point to smaller and/or shorter contracts, so they're all looking to get paid now.

ppl who say Bosh is not leaveing is basically doing the exact same thing as those broadcasters on tv. I personally think that no one know whether Bosh is going to leave. In fact i don't even think Bosh knows himself. I think if Bosh is looking for the most money, he will move back to the states, he will get more money from endorsements than he will get from his salary from the team. If he wants better weather, he will move back to the states. If he wants the best chance in winning, than i think he should stay here. Raptors look like they will be solid in the coming years, and if luck works our way, we might even be in the finals in 2 or 3. WE should just leave this topic alone and wait till the offseason becuase that is the time i think Bosh will really look into this subject

let's not take this seriously lol. Bosh hasn't set the record straight either. so there is a possibility. right now all he's telling everyone is to piss off and he just wants to play good basketball.

This would affect new contracts, making them theoretically shorter and not as much money. Thus, the stars are trying to get their money under the current, more profitable CBA. Typically these contracts would be "grandfathered in", meaning they get to keep their max contracts, while anyone signing a new one would be forced to deal with the new contract rules.

And for the record, how is this any more out of place than the people here who refuse to consider the notion that yes, Bosh could leave? There have not been strong indicators either way and until we recently started winning more consistently, I do not question anyone for presuming that he would leave Toronto.

None of them have set the record straight though. They've all 3 said essentially the same thing. Yet Bosh is speculated daily that he's leaving, and not just speculated in most cases, it's basically an after thought and stated as fact. To say the least this shit is skewed to a very large degree.

It's only because he plays in Canada and it's apparently "too cold" up here for basketball players. If 90% of the ESPN analysts actually LEFT their country to come here, they'd find out that we have the same winter conditions as NYC and the same summer conditions and most of Northern California. Actually, look at a globe, were closer to the equator than New York city...

American ignorance extends to sports from all other facets of their lives...

Hate my "US Bashing" if you want, but that (treatment from ESPN) is what we get for having an All-Star play in the only Canadian city in the NBA.

The thing is, this John Barry comment is another in the long line of snide ignorant comments that have come out of the U.S sports media, including Stephen A Smith, Webber, Jalen Rose and the list goes on. I'd love to see one of them or anyone else for that matter be so snide towards Wade or Lebron, if they were i'd bet the network would have them apologize.

Oh, snap! You told him, girlfriend. :bobs head back and forth:

Seriously, though, I am kind of annoyed when they do that. But, having said that, Acie sort of has a point. I mean, honestly, some of the guys on ESPN act like dicks just for entertainment value.

Look, Bosh might leave, but if he does, we're going to get more than a box of socks in return. I'm pumped about that. He's playing so well that I now have hope a few teams will be making serious bids for his services. IF he goes, it will almost certainly be via a sign and trade.

How is it ingnorant? Seriously?

You make about 67 posts a day about how bad stuff sucks without any evidence to substantiate your opinion. i guess that must make you pretty ignorant too?

How many pieces are there out there about Lebron going to New York or to New Jersey?

How much negative press did Lebron get for not shaking hands?

How many pieces are there about Wade going to Chicago?

Charles Barkely made snide comments about Lebron and he still has a job.

What are you so sensitive about this? Why do you take it so personally? Do you lose sleep at night? Who gives a fuck what Jon Barry thinks? He's there to get a recation out of the viewers and I think he's done a pretty good job of it.
