From the list of available UFAs

Hawes and Carter.

I expect bigger moves then bench depth though.

And Feilds is the guy to defend bigger sf's So maybe Casey will play him next year.

Except for the fact that he is better off standing on the opposite side of the court when we're on offence. Fields sucks.

Fields is fine if the 4 guys on court with him know whats up. You don't put fields on the court with anyone who cannot shoot or move on offense.

Fields is great at cuts, he is a capable ball handler and creator and a VERY good defender. And fields will re-learn his shot. He does not suck, our coach does.

On the wing we could go with just defense or we need a good 3 and D guy. Try to trade for a guy like Korver, Danny Green, Sefalosha, Dunleavy would all fit that well. Maybe just a big wing like Aminu.

As for a big... probably would have to be around MLE salary...Koufas... maybe Varajao.

When are people going to give this up? We had a huge discussion about this last year, and I bet someone about his percentages, I think it was Doc actually, though it's going to be near impossible to find that thread and bet/posts

It takes time, he had the nerves in his elbow operated on and as of November 2012 still hadn't had the normal strength or control in his hand(shooting hand I might add)

Source

Quote:
His elbow still isn’t 100 per cent, he hasn’t completely regained the strength or the control in his hand.

But nearly a year after Landry Fields had surgery to ease symptoms caused by nerve damage in his elbow, he’s learning to adapt his game to his healing right arm, and looking more and more like the player the Toronto Raptors had hoped for when they acquired the small forward in the summer of 2012.
Followed up by this surgery

Source

Quote:
Toronto Raptors forward Landry Fields will be sidelined for several weeks after having surgery on his right wrist.

The Raptors said it was a “minor surgical procedure” to address the ulnar nerve release in his hand.

Fields underwent ulnar nerve transposition surgery in November of 2012 to alleviate nerve compression in his right elbow.
These things take a little time.

It took Demar 5 years to become a mediocre shooter from the floor, but 2 surgeries to repair bad nerves in someone shooting arm is not afforded any time.

If you're expecting bigger moves than bench depth I think you are setting yourself up for disappointment this off-season.

It's true - Matt Bonner plays the same role as Landry, but for the second best team in the NBA

We also need to remember that we have several draft picks, inc a mid first rounder.

I am sure I will be disappointed this offseason, however, I still feel as though big moves need made
