That statement is definately far-fetched, and he loses a bit of credibility by saying this.

You know what, I can see something like this motivating Jose. It's probably a goal of every player. He knows he was close this season and he only started what 28 games? IF he gets the majority of PT next season, I'll guarantee he's an all star next season. All of this depends upon who starts of course next season.

Jose has had roughly a quarter of a season as a bona-fide starter in the NBA. A lot of people don't think that is a sufficient sample of his ability to award an all-star berth.

If this is more than just a really nice blip in his career they won't be able to keep him out of next years game.
