Default Best players to EVER wear a raps jersey.

I am obviously not saying they were at their best when they were raps, but what do you think of my list? I am not including Mourning because he never played a game.

1. Hakeem
2. Vince Carter
3. Peja
4. Jermaine O'Neal
5. Tracy Mcgrady
6. Chauncy Billups
7. Damon Stoudamire
8. Jalen Rose
9. Dell Curry
10. Bargs/ Antonio Davis

Thoughts???

id say tmac and billups should be higher than J-O. just an opinion but id say billups was great and has been great for his career, both in denver and detroit. tmac was once praised and very noteworth until the injury bug hit him. J-O i never saw much in, even in his prime as a pacer. i saw him as a replacable big more than anything. although this could be because in his prime he was shadowed by another big.. what was his name again

Rod Strickland, Alvin Roberstson, Oakley, Mugsy and Willis also had pretty good careers.

I'd also might put Camby and Marion on there.

I'd move Chauncey up past Peja because of his playoffs success and the fact that he's a champion. Maybe even past Vince. But the Dream, absolutely, the greatest player to ever wear and not bleed Purple.

I would agree with that, he shouldn't even be close to top 10.

No Bosh. Ridiculous. Hakeem is a shoe-in for the Hall of Fame. Billups is debatable for the hall of fame. If Bosh continues his pace of 20 points per game and approximately 8 to 10 boards per game for the next 5-6 years, and will have playoff success with the Miami Heat, he has a good chance for the Hall.

I was waiting for that.

I hate Bosh...he does not make my list.

that is all.

Also a good way to generate discussion.

Peja?

what has Peja done in the NBA other than score 20 ppg for a few seasons?
he's never been a team leader, was an allstar once or twice at most... he'd be 9th or 10th on my list.

I think Peja has been an All-Star 3 or 4 times. He had a lot of success back in the Sacramento days, although he was obviously a bit one-dimensional.

Is this thread a question of talent, or results? Because I still think on sheer talent VC might've been the best to ever play here. Obviously his career has not shown that talent in the same way that Olajuwon showed his.

Bosh should never be ahead of Oakley or Sharone Wright....

How can Alvin Robertson not be on anyone's list?

4 Time NBA All-Star
1986 Defensive Player on the Year
1986 Most Improved Player
7 Time All-Defensive Team
All-time per game steals leader/ 10th All-time on the total steals list

No Camby? Yeah.... that's an oversight.

I would put Christie there near the end of the list. Probably the best defensive player that we've ever had TBH (short of Alvin R.). I remember him flirting with a quad-double a few times.

EDIT: Speaking of Alvin... Acie hit in on the head.. he should be there too.
