and his contract? Be honest, if you were a GM, which player at their respective price looks better? 9M or 16M? It's not even comparable with the way Bargnani is rolling, nothing against Bosh.

Based on a 9 game stretch, Bargnani. But that would be asinine. A month ago it would have been Bosh hands down and to be honest i still want to see Bargs do this consistently over a full season (shortened one will do). I won't change my mind over a two week period. But yeah, if this is the real Bargnani and he has truely "arrived" then i would say Bargnani @ that price.

Now that's a sensible viewpoint! You heard it hear, Jeff says Bargnani is better!

Probably not. They got enough offensive capabilities there already. But IF Bargs continues like this, I think more than half the league would rather get him than Bosh in trade next summer. Even if the salaries would be same. With the salaries being what they are, I would thing 90% of the teams would prefer Bargs (again IF he plays like this through the season).

It seemed to me that Bargs let the team down last year. Whether or not he was capable of leading the team to the playoffs is beside the point.

Bargs was, and is, capable of turning up to training camp focused, in shape, and with a more refined repertoire. He's capable of being a leader on the floor, and in practice, with his intensity and effort. He's capable of those things because every basketball player is.

Most NBA players don't have the opportunity to be the team leader and face of the franchise. He did, but he didn't prepare himself for that role, and didn't execute that role.

Maybe being traded (or amnestied) will put a chip on his shoulder, and he'll come back from that a much improved player. I think it's entirely possible - he has the talent. But if that's what it takes to wake him up, then that's what needs to happen.

I think that whatever success Bargs has will only increase his trade value. Right now I don't think that he is tradeable - at least not for anything other than another bad contract.
Well, I was right about what the difference would be. I just didn't think he would get there with the Raptors.

That said, I'm happy to cheer for Bargnani 2.0
