And Bosh haters. Get over it, Bosh is a good player and better than Bargnani.

LOL... and I've said many times.... when Bargs avgs 20 & 10 and goes to the FT line 8-9 times/gm then I'll ease up on him defensively.

Boozer, Amare, Dirk, Bosh and Randolph aren't anything special on that end but what they can bring to the court on offense and on the glass makes it more than worth it. And they frequently outplay their counterparts... Can the same be said for "Il Mago"?

Talent wise I'd take Bosh over Bargnani everyday of the week. Effort wise, same thing. I agree that Bosh is a little over payed but not by much imo. Especially when look around at what other players are getting.

Dude, I've never once said Bargnani was a better player than Bosh.... so let's not keep stating it to make headlines. but 7M more? Eff that.

If you want to compare Bosh, let's look at Aldridge, Randolph, Boozer, Amare, etc,.... not a guy making 9.5M Seriously, does that not resonate? Let's not complain about a guy not being a max player when he clearly isn't.

I'm not worried about someone else's money. Winners pay luxury Tax.

I like Bargnani, but Bosh Kills him.

And why should we be joyous about Bargs making $10M/yr when he's pretty much useless on the court other than shooting long jumpers?

If we're talking about "saving money" I'm sure that that $10M could be better spent, no?

Fak, at least Bosh was a legit all-star and could command a double-team on a regular basis.

Anytime you talk about a top 5 player at his position you're going to have to pay the max to keep him. That's the biz.

by today's standards (outrageous contracts) i'd have to agree
that being said, this is definitely an audition year for him regarding Casey...he could be gone before trade deadline (which i believe has been set at March 15 for this shortened season ?)

It seems like it is because of the outrageous contracts that have been handed out recently to 7-footers but based on his impact on the floor he's really only an MLE-type player at best.

LOL... Sonny Weems made less than $1M last season and people were on his ass after every single little mistake that the kid made. And he was GREAT value for the money, no?

I don't give a rat's ass about what your contract is.... If you can't play the game like you give a shit (after 5+ years) then I don't want you on my team.

That's just me though.

how much a player makes should not be a basis to judge him as a player

Come on panda.... if there wasn't any sort of cap I could see your point.... but the reality is, players are a commodity and salary is an important indicator of their value.

I just mean it like, its not a fair comparison to say player A isn't as good as player B but relatively to what they're paid, player A's per dollar value is better so i rather have him. because they are going to be too many exceptions to go against that arguement

Fair enough... but similarly, suggesting you'd rather Deron Williams over Jerryd Bayless would be an unnecessary statement too.

To say Bosh kills Andrea is a bit of an over statement. Not only that but I think Andrea at the four should be leading him all star voting this year. And totally agree that Bosh's extra salary is excessive when you actually look at what the two bring to the table. Bosh is without a doubt the better player, but a lot of that is mobility. When you look at their one on one Defense on elite players at there position, I don't think there is huge gap. I think if you were to put Bosh at the 5 he's going to bring in similar rebounding numbers. Bosh likes spots that put him in a better position to offensive rebound, where Andrea tends to be 15-18 feet off the rim.

It a pretty sound theory. He should be getting way more touches, he has a better rotation behind him, so he should be playing far more quality minutes. If Bosh avg over 17 pts a would be surprised. And to your point carp, I agree neither should be an all star. But Andrea role on this team is far more significant then Bosh on the heat, which should translated into votes. I think KG and Amare have got the 4 locked up.
