Marion

J How

Chicago

How do you know for sure those teams would even take JO?

If we could've gotten Howard than BC would've done it

This was basically the only option other than waiting until the summer

Thus the only thing that can be complained about is the pick and Moon and Banks. But the pick is balanced out by the $ and Moon is a scrub and Banks won't stop us from signing or not signing Bosh so whatever. If those weren't included this would be highway robbery for BC so it's not a big deal.

Could, should, would .... The fact is consumed, so who cares. The trade was OK, maybe if JO wouldn't get injured this season and proved that he can stay on floor without getting monthly time off than BC could have better chances to shop him around. I am happy JO is gone, his contract was just to big to make this team much better. Also, there are not many GMs around to take on JO's contract at this particular time. If JO gets injured again, Miami are screwed for this season and next season.

Let's face it, we traded next year's worst contract for the biggest expiring on the market this year, who also happens to be the superior player. I call that a win trade.

I suppose this is the skeptic in me, but I was amazed that ANY team was comfortable taking a risk on JO. BC was dealing from a position of weakness and the options reflect that. I believe if better options existed, they would have been chosen.

you get the feeling reading this board that people think that the NBA is Colangelo's own personal smorgasboard in which to pick and choose deals.

He sits at home, uses the ESPN tracker to see if the salaries match, and then uses a little creativity (to show ho smart he is) then makes what ever deal will make everyone the happiest.

There aren't any other teams out there.
There are no persoanl decisions made by players.
There are no politics.
Just a wide open sheet, a canvas for him to do as he please.

It really is sad.

It was a good trade if you compare it to getting players from Chicago or J How.

With Marion you get $17 ml off the books this year and he's not a bad player. I don't want the players from Chicago and their long contracts. Rose is the only player I'm interested in Chi Town, maybe even Thomas.

You know, there isno guarentee that Marion is leaving.

And he's a good player.

In a postion we had no good player.

We traded a hurt, ok good player, in a position where we had three good players.

people need to stop nit p[icking and look at it from a team angle.

Toronto is a better more rounded team today, than they were last week.

Thats all you can ask for.

Not only that it was the best but, I think, this was the only trade Raps could do for JO... frankly, I am still shocked that they managed to move him.
