Raps in five. DeMar takes it to Ariza every game and averages 30ppg.

We would take them in 5.

We have had Washington's number ever since the Mo Pete crazy game winner years back.

Reckon we will beat them in 5 or 6 but honestly reckon we will get Atlanta or Chicago instead.

The two teams are about even but I voted for Washington just because I thought it was ridiculous to have the vote be 31-1

Tomorrows matchup is huge.

Game Notes:

  • - If the playoffs started today the Wizards would be our first round opponent
  • - The Raptors were the only East team to rank in the top 10 in both offensive and defensive efficiency between January 1 and the all star break
  • - Raptors have the easiest remaining schedule in the league
  • - Wizards have the 3 seed circled as their goal

wow, 32-4 for two teams that are basically even, with probably a sligtht edge to the wizards in terms of talent.

Would be interesting, if we lose tomorrow, to do another poll and see how many change their mind after one loss (especially if it's a bad loss)

I would have said the Raptors a month ago, but now I'd say whoever has homecourt advantage would likely win, but if I was to bet I'd take WAS. I think the biggest game changer in the series would be Wall, and I think their frontcourt would outplay ours over the course of a series with their experience and toughness.

Yeah if Amir doesn't get his shit together Nene and Gortat would dominate us.

their frontcourt could be the big advantage over us.

we have two major advantages, our defense and our coaching. Their frontcourt is not physically dominant, which is our area of weakness.

IMO, it will be lowry+ demar vs wall + beal, whoever wins that matchup will win the series.

I say give us the Wizards first round please. After years of crazy games in Washington (think the Michael Ruffin incident) its time we meet in the playoffs.

Also there is no way the poll should be that lopsided.

I don't see us winning in a 7 game series against Washington and the previous game showcased our weaknesses. They scored what, 80 points in the paint??
Our interior defender is pedestrian at best, and the ability for wall to practically do whatever he wants isn't good for us.
They are a very athletic team and have more veteran experience.. And an actual reliable inside threat in gortat.

Our system also heavily relies on Lowry, if he gets into foul trouble or hurt our teams level of play plummets.
We also have no playoff experience and haven't won a single round in franchise since a decade.
It's great to be optimistic but don't let the season record fool you, if we end up as a high playoff seed, we are still the dark horse because simply our team isn't proven and has no playoff experience.

and yet, they needed a triple overtime to beat us despite losing ross, lowry. amir and PP ... And the previous 3 games against them were blowouts. Andre miller will help them a lot, because they were so thin behind wall, but I still think we're slight favourites.

Ultimately, health and home court will be deciding factors in this very likely future playoff series. We have a 3 game cushion on then and an easier schedule, so chances are we will start at home. Unless chicago slows down, a tor-was series is very probably. And I have a feeling it will be a classic one.
