As much as would like to see Jose play out his career here, this might actually be the best thing. I have been waiting for Lowry to start playing like he was worth the starting job and outside some flashes here and there he has not done it. I am starting to think he is not the long time solution anymore than Jose is. Jose would be great of the bench with smaller contract, but I dont see us getting a PG in near future that would outplay him so we could keep him on coming off the bench.

On the other hand, while Jose is not the guy to take us far in playoffs, there is no other player in the team who can do that either. And he definately isnt our biggest problem, so I wouldnt mind him playing a year or two more if we can get better in other positions. So I guess I would be ok trading Lowry and keeping Jose if he can be had for decent money.

But if we can get a good deal out of Jose, then we need to ship him.

Old recycled shit that's been debunked on this board.

Disappointed that old crap is what you post. You're not even good at shit-disturbing.

If we still have that pick next year, we've either made the playoffs (unlikely) or drafted a top-3 player. That makes it even more unlikely that we end up with a top pick the following year, but we're still wiggins-protected if it comes to that. The probability that the raps end up losing out on a star because of this is low, I think.

Jose is playing great basketball. But if we are rebuilding and hoping to build a perennial playoff team, we need to get as much value out of Jose as we can. At his age, he can't be the future of the pg position for us. Lowry might be, but we'll never now unless we give him the reigns and he is healthy.

If the league gives an injured player exception for Rondo, would people be interested in dealing with Boston? If I remember correctly, it's fifty percent of player salary up to? The MLE?

With an IPE, they couldn't take Jose but could take Lowry. I remember BC liking Avery. We could send them Lowry for a pick and then tale Avery with the exception. Boston isn't a great trading partner. Sullinger?

I assume Avery isn't an able starter as a PG otherwise the idea is mute.

Well... Rondo going down should at least raise the the demand value of our PG assets.

Marc Stein ‏@ESPNSteinLine
Sense I get is it's far likelier Celts pursue Kyle Lowry and his cap-friendly contract. But do Celts have assets to land Raps PG? We'll see

I just can't see Bryan throwing a bone to a weakened Celtics squad. He may be able to swing a Lowry deal that makes us better long term (Bradley or a pick). But BC's job is on the line. He has his delusional glare on the playoffs, and the Celtics are in the way.

how old is bradley?

and how's his shooting. his defence would obviously be welcomed with open arms but given the way our lineup is shaped right now and looks to continue to be shaped we need, absolutely need a pg who can shoot the ball.

Pretty much have to involve a 3rd team. Celtics have so little to offer. Not sure if Bradley AND a pick are enough.

I could see a CLee deal with Kyle but I think we'd need a bit more. Maybe sometihng like Melo, Sullinger and Lee for Kyle and either Kleiza or Gray

U mad bros! Lowry is like the best player Raptors had since Bosh and you want to trade or give him away? Dude's an all star, doesn't b1atch about coming of a bench, has no problem to end the game with 0 shots if team wants it, has brilliant D, makes 3s, rebound, fight for himself, has mojo and he's still young. What is wrong with you people!!!

jeffb, that tweet's a joke, right?

It's the Raptors, if we'd trade him he'd tear it up there once healthy, then we'd re-sign Calderon and continue to spin our wheels. lol

My goodness have you all gone mad? Lowery for Avery Bradly? All he offers is defense, which Lowery isn't bad at. The only player I would be willing to take is Green but I don't see them giving him up.
