Agreed, that this is only speculation. Heck, his GF coulda dumped him.

I'll throw my guess in there!

TJ is an attention whore. He has to be the center of attention. He needs it and cant survive without it. All the talk, up to now, is how TJ and CB4 were going to bring us the championship. Now all the talk is how well Caldy is playing and "priority number one" is to resign him. To make matters worse, Caldy has taken his treasured spot as starter.

And thats what I pulled out of my arse just like everyone. Only TJ knows whats wrong.

Maybe his medical condition had been even further complicated by them discovering he's suffering from irritable bowel syndrome.

I dont give a rats ass why he met with that dude.

I DO care that he acts like a dick on and off the playing surface during games now.

As I said yesterday, pushin git to much, meh, big whoop, a dude is goinne be selfish once in a while..... giving up on plays after YOU fuck them up, then not getting back on defence, 3 times in one quarter.

Nope.

Never.

Not on my team.

TJ will accept being Jose backup for the rest of this season... he said that himself but he fully expect to be starting PG come next season... will he?

I have no clue who will start but I do know that if TJ is not starting he will not be happy.

At the end it's BC's and Sam's job to make it work... either, by making TJ understand and accept his role or by trading him... there is no other way.

I don't agree.

He doesn't seem to be accepting anything.

If by accept, Tj mean she doesn't walk out and stand a center court and refuse to leave the court before tip off, then ya, he accpts.

But If yo mean he accepts and understands that it's for th good of the team that Jose gets to starty, and he truly buys in, and plays hard and shows good team spirit.

Then CAPITAL N.O. he doesn't accept shit.

TJ stated that he is OK with being Jose's backup for the rest of this year but next year he expects to win starting position back... that's what he said... what is in his head I don't know nor do I care...

Looking on the larger picture BC does has a problem... he either has to put TJ in his place or he has to trade him... I guess third option would be giving up on Jose but that seems very unlikely...

Well I hate to say I told you so, TJ is for TJ, if anything I am very surprised he has mantained his composure this well. I hate to beat a :deadhorse: I saw this attitude right from day one right from his me first interview after the trade. All this talk about TJ and his attitude does not surprise me its old news for me. Don't be surprised after this season that TJ does not go to management asking to be moved, maybe he already has but is keeping quiet. The game against the magic was a complete melt down for him, he is trying to win his starting role by playing his me game. Fans are really just starting to see the real TJ and the negative side he brings to our team.

dw guys
just let ford regain his value and play atleast 50 consecutive games healthy.
Then he'll ince again become that valuable trading asset, which could possibly fulfill our SF woes.

wow - if the past week didnt't make it clear what kind of character TJ has, I doubt anything will do.

I agree that Sam doesn't want to force the issue, he's hoping (foolishly) that TJ can be "tamed". He probably feels that if puts any more gas on this fire, it will explode badly.

And comparisons with Jalen's case are not relevant, back then we sucked, now we're a playoff team. There wasn't much to lose then.

JAlen = Tj

Both players;

"I'm a professional, so I'm not gonna talk in the media about what I could talk in the media about, and be right about, instead I will keep my mouth shut, I'm fine, I'm professional"

HA!

They actually believe that's being a good pro.

So, why the fuck does TJ think he should be starting next year? Does he really see himself as a better PG to run this team, or is it more of 'I'll get my act toether by next year and i'll be better than Jose' type of thing?

generally speaking i'm in the jose camp, but let's think about this for a moment...

jose has been great this year, but it's only been a few months. Are we 100% confident that he will be a perennial all-star and the answer to our PG problems?

TJ is definitely the better athlete and I would argue has a higher ceiling. Attitude is certainly an issue, but are we really ready to commit to him after 2/3 of a quality season?

i'd say Jose outplayed TJ last year too (as far as who actually ran the team better).

So yes. My mind is made up as to who i think is the PG i'd like here long term.

PG is the WORST position to play when a player displays a selfish nature, or a tendancy to "take over" the game. It can't happen.

Is Tj the better athlete?

maybe quicker, thats it.

I think people get caught up inmedia catch phrases and labels that guys have.

Jose gets down the court lightening fast when he wants to.

He gets to the hole effortlessly

he gets to his pockets off the pick and role effortlessly, he rebounds well

he can dunk, EASILY

and he's never caught up court.

Now why is he sooo much less athletic than Tj?

Because he doesn't try to attack 24/7 with his athleticism?

Some say Tj was tired in orlando, hence not getting back on those pitiful give aways.

Oddly, we have watched Jose play close to 45 mins for like 30 games, and he still has gas in the tank.

I have always looked at Jose as a phenomenal athlete, I guess being quick trumps everything.

I don't care if Jose is as good as he seems right now or not. All I know is that I can't accept a player like TJ on my team. Regardless of good he is - when the going will get tough, he will always look for his ass first and dump everybody under the truck if that's what it takes. I'd rather have Vince back than to keep TJ.

Wow, anyway we can make it a 3-way deal and add Mike James to that transaction and they we'd have a deal that involved 3 of the most ragged on Raptor players of all time.

I have no problems with TJ. I think the reason why Sam doesn't yank him is because he encourages TJ to take his shots. He's said it in interviews before. Believe me, I'm just as frustrated when I see him come down and hog three possessions in a row, but when his shot is falling, everyone bites their tongue. The moment he does something wrong, people are literally waiting to jump on him. That's the truth - don't tell me you're not doing it.

The only thing that I can't stand about TJ is his inability to direct the floor and be vocal with his team. Jose is always talking to the coach and players between plays and during timeouts. I think that's something every point guard should be doing more of. So kudos to Jose for that.
