Default Beasley Being Traded For Bosh? O'Neal With LeBron in Cleveland?

Why does it appear we're getting the short end of this proposed deal?

There has been some rumor going around lately that if the Toronto Raptors cannot sign Chris Bosh to an extension, they will deal him this offseason. Where would Bosh be headed, is the question.

There was talk the Golden State Warriors were interested in Bosh. They were willing to package Andris Biedrins and Anthony Randolph for Bosh. That was quickly shutdown and did not happen during the season.

The Pistons could also be in the mix sending over Tayshaun Prince, Amir Johnson, and a future draft pick for Bosh.

The most intriguing one has been with the Miami Heat.

The Heat have been contemplating the decision to acquire Bosh via trade to have him join Dwayne Wade, and possibly former teammates, Jermaine O'Neal and Jarmario Moon.

The Miami Heat would trade Michael Beasley, James Jones(or Jamario Moon/ Chris Quinn), and Mark Blount for Bosh, and a first round draft pick in the upcoming 2009-2010 draft.

The Raptors would have a starting five looking like this; Andrea Bargnani, Shawn Marion/Michael Beasley, Shawn Marion/Michael Beasley/Joey Graham, Anthony Parker, and Jose Calderon.

This would give the Miami Heat a starting five of O'Neal, Bosh, Dorell Wright, Wade and Mario Chalmers.

I personally do not like the starting five for either of the teams.

The Raptors have an inconsistent figure in the No. 1 overall pick in 2007, Andrea Bargnani. He is listed at 7' 0" and only averaged 5.3 RPG playing 31 MPG. As a starter (59 games) he has averaged a solid 17.7 PPG, but a disgusting 5.9 RPG playing 36 MPG.

Coming off the bench, Bargnani is averaging 8.3 PPG and 3.4 RPG playing 21.8 MPG. His career average for rebounds is 4.3. A guy who is 7' 0" should be grabbing at least seven to eight rebounds. Although, it is pretty hard to grab rebounds when Bosh averages 10 RPG and O'Neal averaged 7 RPG during his tenure in Toronto.

Marion at 6' 7" playing the small forward position would not be real successful without a run and gun point guard like Steve Nash running the show. Calderon is more of a Chauncey Billups and Marion game is more fashioned to the run and gun style.

Anthony Parker: Let;s face it, this guy is not a starter on any team at all. He would not even make the starting line up for the Clippers, Kings, or Thunder. I don't know what Jay Triano, Sam Mitchel or Bryan Colangelo are thinking.

That line up will still fail to make the playoffs so then we bring in another team. Let's just finish off the Heat lineup analysis though.

Having O'Neal playing alongside Bosh will not work at all. Bosh cancels out O'Neal's effectiveness and becomes the third or fourth option. O'Neal plays the power forward position, not the center. O'Neal will have to go.

To where though?

Cleveland.

O'Neal might be the piece that can help LeBron on his quest for a title, maybe even his second. If he can stay healthy, and play 30-plus minutes, he will be a double-double threat.

The Heat are going to need a defensive center. Something that the Cavs have.

Ben Wallace will make a great addition to the Heat team and can transform them into a contender.

This can only happen if Riley wants to make the move. He believes that it could be risky as they have a chance of landing Bosh in free agency when his contract expires in 2010, but that's if he does not sign an extension.

I see a three team trade here.

Cavs Receive

Jermaine O'Neal

Jamario Moon

Heat Receive

Ben Wallace

Chris Bosh

Raptors Receive

Michael Beasley

Mark Blount

Sasha Pavlovic

either James Jones or Chris Quinn

This guy doesnt know what he's talking about, Bargnani is no longer inconsistent, he proved that this season. And will continue to grow this offseason.

Anthony Parker is amazing, he would certainly make the starting lineup in numerous teams. Hes an above average defender, one of the leagues best 3pt shooters and can stack up a few steals. /He's amazing on the floor, his work ethic is awesome, and the way he can hit his shot from anywhere, at any time, and doing anything is remarkable. His age is a factor now, and I can see him as one of the leagues better Sixth Men.

Im not sure about this, but I think that the Miami Heat do not have a first roudner in this draft, anyone confirm this?

Didnt this guy also say Miami needs a defensive minded centre? Uh yes, I dont think you'll get a betteer defender than O'Neal.. He's saying O'Neal isnt defensive minded?? Ben Wallace is like 36 years old, In my opinion he should no longer be a starter this guy has to get a few facts straight. O'Neal was top 10 in drawing charges, and #5 or something in Blocked Shots with 2.5 or so.

Beasley will never be regarded as a top tier PF because of his size and his attitude. He'll be Antawn Jamison without the professionalism. Who the hell wants that for Bosh? Donks who cant see the big picture and rather see 'young talent'.

I wouldn't touch Miami for anything other then Wade. Which of course would never happen. Miami has nothing i'd want for Bosh.

Beasley's FLOOR is Antawn Jamison. He put up 20/8 per 36 THIS YEAR, and was probably a better defender than Jamison already.

The deal makes sense to me. Bosh/Wallace works more than Bosh/JO. I think Cleveland says no though

undersized bad attitude, no defense PF. I like that you say his D is good, you ever watch him?? lol his coach and gm called him out about defensive effort and overall professionalism early in the year and sat him down for long, long stretches, hardly the sign of a kid working his ass off on the defensive end, or working at all.

BTW he is 6f7 at best

He's ok on defense. Around Bargs level (solid man to man, sucky everywhere else) But Jamison is probably THE worst defender in the NBA. So yes Beasley is a better defender already

And the smaller the better for me, I want him at SF with Bargs at PF beside a defensive center. Beasley/Bargnani at PF/C is an epic fail

Beasley was the best option out of those scenarios. None of them were really all that good but you guys need to start coming to terms with the idea that Colangelo is going to get equal value for Bosh. What he's going to get is players who give him the potential to exceed what Bosh is worth in the future.

Judging by everything I've read in here so far since I came back, you guys are not going to be happy with any possible trade Colangelo can hammer out. Not right in the moment anyway.

Whoa there buddy.... you're SERIOUSLY undervaluing Jamison lol....

Beasley has been in the NBA for ONE season. ONE. And he played with one of the top 5 players in the game.

That doesn't mean that he's going to be the next Tim Duncan.

Jamison is a player who's put up those numbers for YEARS now. Don't insult him haha.

Remember when people were ooooing and ahhhhhing over Channing Frye?
