Default BC wants Andrea to remain here this summer and not Europe

I didn't hear this, but a poster from the RGM heard the analysts talking about it during the rookie game on Friday that BC wants Bargnani to remain in the US to attend big man camps instead of returning back to Italy for the entire summer.

Anyone else think this is a good idea, because I know I do. I just hope Andrea supports this suggestion too.

He might as well do it, thinking that the Italian national team pretty much sucks.

Train wiht a player who can help utilize your talents. If anything, I call up Sabonis and ask to train with him. Sabonis would be the perfect player to help him learn the NBA game cause if anything that's who Bargs reminds me of the most and Sabonis was a DAMN good player. Incredibly underrated.

Yeah damn him. He shouldn't be allowed to go home in the offseason.

If proving that he can play centre in this league and that he was worthy of the number 1 overall pick is important to him... well then no, he shouldnt go to europe for an extended stay. Do you think he is the only player in the league asked to do offseason work to improve? I mean geez, he is only making millions of dollars and is expected to bring our franchise to the next level, how dare we ask him to shorten his vacation (im sure most of us get paid millions to play a game and get months off at time, so hard to ask more of him).

You know, if he works his ass of in Europe with good coaches then I don't have a problem with him going. Plus I think we're finally seeing what Bargs can do when he's healthy and right now thats nota bad thing at all. And plus, he has improved this season, simply, his defense is that much better, his floor positioning and now he's putting both his offense and defense together at exactly the right time. Looks like all that hard work he put in LAST offseason has worked out.

the problem is that the Italian national team and their league overall has lost a lot of financial support and they have being struggling for years, so maybe it would be better for him not to go. If it was another national team, like spain, argentina, greece, etc.. I dont think there would be any problem.

he needs to work with nba coaches, europeans have a different style. He needs strength, right now he's almost fat, and he needs to learn defense.
