Rapsmannn, you are right in saying that Landry was a bad signing. Although all my knicks friends were so angry we got him 'he's going to be a stud' and so on..... BC was probably thinking the same thing. How could he of predicted the future to see that OJ is a stud and that Landry is a bust? the past is past and we have to live with it, instead of just putting our Staff, coaching and players down how about we start showing a bit of enthusiasm.

Just think if you were a player that was having a poor start and you went on your teams forum, do you think reading all this would make you feel better about yourself? Everyone should show a little respect and empathy to the players busting their butts for toronto.

Im not a fanboy I just dont like all this running down of our players and BC

landry fields played half a season of good basketball and one and a half seasons of really bad basketball. hindsight doesnt tell me this is a bad signing it was known when it happened that is was a bad signing.

You always, always take the player with the greatest upside/highest ceiling. I think we can all agree that Drummond has a higher ceiling than Ross.
I'm actually going to take the "crazy" position here by saying Ross has as high an upside if not higher than Drummond

Ross to me has huge upside if he can develop one thing: The ability to attack the basket/rim. Ross' shooting/skill game looks great, he has deep range and he looks like he has talent creating shots off the dribble. He's also an underrated passer, has defensive potential and can rebound. The thing he's missing is the most important thing for a wing to become an all-star, attacking the basket and paint area off the dribble. If he learned how to do that his upside is huge IMO, considering he'd add it to a great skill game. This hypothetical version of Ross would be Demar with an elite 3pt shot and ability to create jumpshots slickly off the dribble. That'd be a beast.

I'm not saying Ross will get there. In fact I'm predicting he ends up a jumpshot orientated player. But if we're talking about "upside" for Drummond by imagining him adding an Amare/Griffin like face-up skill game, I see Ross' "path to all-star upside", that is figuring out to attack the basket off the dribble, as no more of a stretch.

good post.

and i'm predicting that drummond will not develop any sort of solid face-up/post game! no way.

he will be a deandre jordan type player at best imo.
