Default BC in RF

First of all I want to say that I'm not sure if this is deserves to have a thread by itself, and if it doesn't i will not mind if it will be deleted..

Anyway my question is do you think BC reads any of the threads in the RF? Or maybe someone who works for him? Could one of the members on this board be working for BC? I know it's pretty random i just thought that if I would be a GM I would definitely want to know what fans think and what suggestions for improvement do they have

Probably some PR people keep an eye on the RF, RR and RealGM content.

Some of the topics that get started on those three forums make it onto broadcasts, and some are addressed in newspapers, blogs, etc.

I don't think that it's BC's department to read those forums, but I'm sure that if the forums started blowing up over some controversy he'd be briefed on what people were saying.

No mention of my stomping grounds - raptorspace You'd think MLSE would do a better job of improving their own forum site but they don't. Now it's not even raptorspace, it's just the Raptors messageboard on the raptors' official website.

This.

It would be mostly useful for marketing and PR. For example, when fans start calling for a rebuild and BC suddently starts using words like "building" instead of "re-tooling". Maybe an intern or someone gives him the heads-up.

And, yeah, Eggs is right about the telecasts. A couple of times I've heard Jack make reference to fans calling for something and then him dismissing it.

From a basketball perspective though, there really isn't anything they can learn from these boards. Joe average fan is not going to give them some brilliant insight for a trade or draft pick. Any of the good ideas on messageboards (few and far between) are things scouts/assistants are on top of, anyway.

^and yet they make some very stupid moves..
One average Joe probably won't give a brilliant insight, but whole bunch of them might. so many people who are so passionate about ball must have some good ideas

It is said the intelligence of a group is their average IQ divided by the number of people in the group. Groups don't come up with good ideas, individuals do.

I used to be a mod on that forum. We used to have an Ask Jack Thread. Everyone used to post a question and every broadcast Jack used to answer it. I haven't been on there for ages though

I think BC is very PR savvy, so he definitely keep an eye on the forums, mostly through proxies but occasionally himself. I mean, say you're late in your hotel room on the road and have nothing to do, wouldn't you sneak a peek at the forums to see how you're doing (PR wise)?

We are not smarter than BC with regards to roundball. People make what looks like dumb moves. You don't know why he made the decisions and without that info it looks dumb. but it could have been plans A through E did not work and that's what he had left.

I really think there is very little this forum could offer... even related to PR. Media follows and condenses the questions seomtimes (Chisholm) and that's enough.

I highly doubt that he or any of his associates have an account here but I do suspect that he's browsed the forum before as a guest and that he's well aware of the site and nature of the comments about him and the Raptors

It would shock me if BC has ever been near an internet Raptors Forum.
