Default BC Gives Hints on the Draft

BC was on the FAN 590 this morning. He said the following players will not be available at the #9 Pick:

Griffin, Rubio, Thabeet, Harden, Curry, and Tyreke Evans

BC said the following players might be available for the Raptors:

Demar Derozan, Jonny Flynn, Jordon Hill, James Johnson, Jrue Holiday

Okay the two wing players (Harden & Evans) that would help the Raptors the most are now off the board. Washington is strapped for cash (contracts of Agent 0, Jamieson, Butler), and is selling their #5 pick. Why don't the Raptors trade their #9 pick & pay 3 million (they were going use to buy another 1st round pick) and obtain the #5 pick.

Harden or Tyreke Evans > Derozan & 1st round pick (Ty Lawson or Maynor)

Guy, Harden will probably be gone at 3.
Why would Washington trade their pick to trade down and cash? Washington already stated that they would trade their pick for a vet to help them, not trade down.

I would really love Harden, but he'll most likely be picked before 5. I don't mind the trade swap... but now they won't have the money to buy a 1st rounder (backup PG)

Harden might be available at 5. The consensus top 3 are Griffin, Rubio, and Thabeet. Sacramento is looking for a point guard, and they had 2 workouts with Jrue Holiday already. Harden is a big possibilty at 5.

Offer 3 million cash, our #9 draft pick, sign & trade Anthony Parker, pick up a contract that Washington is trying to remove (Etan Thomas or Stevenson). We would finally get our future wing player that can play with Bosh.

OKC isn't taking Rubio at 3 (He'll probably go to Sacramento). They've already stated that they want Westbrook handling the rock and PG duties. Sure, the best 3 prospects might be Griffin, Thabeet and Rubio, but it won't play out that way draft day. Harden will be gone at 3.

So that leaves us with Tyreke... I'm not sure if it's worth it.
