BC on FAN590 with McCowan from this afternoon

Didn't hear it, but apparently Bob was ripping into Bargnani the entire time while talking to BC. Again, I didn't hear it myself but this a brief summary from a member over at the RealGM. Nevertheless, some interesting stuff. ;)

-Disappointed by Bargnani drop off since playoffs/start of the year but hopes to ride it out BUT does acknowledge his regression.
-Looking for a banger since we are soft inside but won't overpay for one
-Does not want to make excuses for Bargnani; cities his mental game is the issue and we need patience.
-No time frame for TJ's return; he's still in Houston.

-No one is untouchable= yup dont see us winning a championship, so yes i agree.
-Dissapointed AB= yup everyone is :(.
-Banger with Bargain= couldn't agree more :).
-No excuses for AB= Hes a #1 pick, no excuses.
-TJs return= (Y).

I hope Bob didn't convince BC to rush into something stupid.

I don't think BC lacks his self-assertiveness to have a radio show host pressure him into doing something.

I wouldn't worry about that.

He also said re: Bargs

You don't throw the baby out with the water. <-- his words. Essentially ruling out any notion that he would trade Bargs; further he said that early struggles are not common, brought up both how Nash and Dirk BOTH struggled early in Dallas and decided to work on their games. Essentially saying all is not lost.

Notice no blame towards Sam for Bargnani's struggles.. no mention of having to have a chat with Sam on how to handle AB. I'm not surprised, but there's been a LOT of Sam bashing over AB's issues this year and I dont' think it's all fair.

The only thing he said towards Sam was that it wasn't his fault. He said it was the entire TEAM's fault (coaching, players and himself) that Andrea and well the team were underachieving. Basically assuring that no one's job was safe either.

Either way, BC did not seem to sound too happy with the performance of this team.

So Bargnani is staying for good :).
I still believe in himm, " cant throw the baby out with the water".BC knows what hes doing :D

I believe that too CG .... have you seen him at the games whenever the cameras focus on him. He looks very stressed and not a happy camper. :(

He always looks that way. I would be concerned if he didn't. He's nowhere close to looking like he did at the start of last season. So relatively speaking, he's downright zen-like.

BC would trade bargnani, as he would trade bosh if the right package came along. This "no player is untradeable" is a major bullshit. If Lakers could get duncan, nash and tmac for Kobe, would they say no? Of course not ... It's all about what you get in return.

In any case, I wouldn't put too much trust in whatever Bryan says in the media, I'm sure he will not reveal his real thoughts/intentions, he's too smart and calculated for this.
