Raptors BC & DC not getting along?

Quote:
This season the coach and the GM have become icy, too, just as Sam Mitchell and Bryan Colangelo did. And it seems quite unlikely that Colangelo will still be in his chair next season, just as Glen Grunwald was let go. You can find a lot of guys to miss the playoffs for five straight years, even though this will be the first time it has happened to the Raptors. Eventually, when nothing’s happening, it’s time.

Not surprised.

Coach and GM have very differing viewpoints on what it takes to make a team a winner.

where's the proof or a clue to support the writer's allegation?

I bet BC wants more AB and LF to get that value going while Casey wants more AA and Lucas lol.

Not surprised either and that's why I made that thread about Raptors not being able to elevate to the next level with them as the Coach/GM duo.

I have no proof and it's speculation on my part but I think alot of it has to do with Colangelo micro-managing possibly. Anything Bargnani related like starting him is likely BC's idea.

who knows, both should be gone for next season imo,but If I were to keep one,I'd go with the guy who's won a championship

I disagree strongly with the notion that we should get rid of both the GM/Coach this offseason.

What kind of message does that send to the players? This roster is a work in progress, and to do that would be disastrous in my opinion.

Maybe we get rid of one, but not both.

Yea I hear you. It is a gamble but it's the NBA,they're professionals, they'll learn to adapt. As long as they replace them with people who are qualified or capable of doing the job, they'll be fine.

Áll subjective BS imo. Media's goal is to create a story, whether it has a kernal of truth or more.

I can start one.....KL doesn't like Casey, so in a move to placate KL to encourage him to resign, BC elects to fire DC - after he gets another 3 year extension of course.

Don't fuck with Colagelo, dem bitches do as they're told....right Mitchell.....Triano.....

Here's one thing to remember - this franchise has spent 17 years dividing itself into factions that use different newspapers to try to gain leverage. It could be an ugly couple of months of this shit.

BC can't fire another coach or he's gone. Coach is not doing well enough to keep BC his job (not that its casey's fault). So when BC is gone... DC doesn't have much longer since the new GM will always bring in his own coach. They are in this together and they can't see that?

A couple of years ago I made a post very similar to the bit about how few teams have failed to have a 50 win season (there are security measures in place to keep me from copying and posting the paragraph, so you'll have to go to the article via the link). The realization caused me to decide to never purchase tickets until they are undeniably selling wins. I still hold out hope that will happen beginning next season, but I still hear Colangelo selling hope far too much.

Thats because they suck, and have Dick all for top level talent. And if they do have it, they sure don't have the right people leading it.

As for the Icy Relationship. Honestly guys, name a company on the planet where everyone loves each other, even though they bottom out every year....

Of course they hate each other.

That was actually a great article. I'll have to bookmark that Bruce Arthur guy.

The copy&paste licence prompt was weird.
