BC on Lowry:

-It will be up do Dwane Casey to decide who starts
-luxury to have 2 starting caliber PGs
-In the end this is about becoming a much better basketball team

-talks about Jose being a true professional
-thrilled to have him as part of our team...but could use him as somethig to make our team better
-multiple inquiries since Lowry was inquired --> Trade/Amnesty

Interesting that anything BC says about Jose, is prefaced with a but...

I would much rather have Rush than Pietrus (pee-u) Fields would be my first choice even though his contract is a bit much. I've got this feeling NY is going to match, they are a horribly run franchise and Fields is a fan fave that should be enough to get him back in a Knicks uniform.

where have we heard this shit before. exactly why i don't want us trying to juggle to keep both pg's happy. enough already. besides, we're going to give up a lottery pick for a player so he can share starting duties? fuck that garbage.

Kyle is labelled as a bulldog

Landry
-fierce competitor, never lets up and a great feel for the game - offensively, and defensively
-constantly pressing

3 practices in summer league
Ross - impressed - incredible athlete - quick
Great instincts - offensively and defensively
-another piece that we'll add to what we're doing
-quickness athleticism

-needed to address shooting - Ross and Fields - Fields (looking at rookie numbers, not sophmore numbers)

Lowry - re: Alvin
-great deal of respect for Lowry - who has grown over the last couple of years
-intelligence from within was very valuable

I question this quote ! "athleticism" "physical toughness" Do we really have it at the PF and Center spot ???? Having Bargs and Val starting and we have no paint presence whats so ever !

I'm actually not too worried about it.

I assume Lowry will start. He's what we need at the PG position, and it will be nice to have a defensive guy at the first point of attack for the first time since... Alvin?

I think Jose will accept his role no matter what, and chances are he's not going to be a Raptor for more than the next year. His $10M+ this year, plus his reputation suggest that he won't stir the pot.

He may even/couple probably be gone before the season even starts too - especially judging by BC's language, so the "PG controversy" may not even materialize.

I hate to say it Jeff but i am totally on board with you on this one. As much as like what Jose brings to the table that 1 st round pick could come back to haunt us.
Trying to be positive but do you think we made enough moves to finish higher in the standings this year ?

Obviously your tunnel vision man crush has you misunderstanding what i meant.

2nd- Why in the world would you seriously think Colangelo will stop at this point? Why don't you put your Jose love aside for a couple weeks and sit back next to your pool, guzzle down some brewskies and see what the roster looks like then. Step away from the ledge.

Jeff I jump on board with you and you throw me over board lol.

We just traded a 1st round pick for God's sake......So we play Lowry and regardless if Caldy is still around Lowry starts.....if not BC should be shot !

Yep, if Calderon starts ahead of Lowry Colangelo should indeed be shot or at the very least commited. Along with Casey.

BC sounds depressed or spent - or both.

The most important thing I heard BC say was: "at this point anybody's tradeable"...interesting

starting to pick up on the little nuances of BC's character. He seems to have a favorite word in every one of his convo's/interviews, in this case it was Analytics/Analytical...

all in all, I'm still semi excited about all this action, or lack there of. Our division rivals seem to have gotten stronger this off season and have a leg up on the raps - so far.

i say lets pull a 'bobcats' and aim for Wiggins next yr.
