Default BC...Bring me......

Samuel Dalembert.

I'm still convinced that big celebration for him was to lure him here, he answers some of our rebounding and defense problems. I saw an interview with him last night, and him a raps jersey would make me happy.

I love Sammy D, but I'm questionning the dough he makes.

big men make big money in the nba. that's just the way it goes. if he can be a defensive difference maker, he's worth every penny.

But at 10-11 million a year? That's a bit steep.

13 million in 10/11 but how old is the guy?

I think you have to pay it for a guy like that, how many are there in the NBA?

SG's dime a dozen, same with SF's...

Remember when Jamal Magloire was worth or thought he was worth that type of money?

Sammy D? I think he's 26-27, so he's just entering into his prime years. I think Dalembert would help us immensely on the glass and with defense, but looking at some of the other guys that makes just as much coin as him and I'm a bit hesitant. I'd rather pay Rasho 8 mil a year to do what he does and the production isn't that far off.

No thanks .... we need that second scoring option more than we need to tie up someone like Dalembert who makes a whack load of money too. I like Sammy, but not for the price tag that comes with him.

You get a swingman who commands a ton of attention from opposing teams on defense with double teams and such, and that will change the entire dynamic of this team on offense. It also helps Bosh out immensely by helping take focus and attention off of him.

I'll be pretty disappointed if BC doesn't get us a SG/SF some way, some how this summer.

I can live with Rasho as our centre again for next season. He's now proven to be a valuable piece of this team and can be utilized and useful. We can fix our rebounding woes with BC maybe acquiring a tough gritty big man to come off the bench next season. Someone like a Reggie Evans.

ANother scorer?????????

No we need someone who can create his own shot not another scorer, we have too many as it is.

We have

Kapono
Delfino
Moon
Parker

Who all basicly do the same thing.

T.J
Jose

Who basicly do the same thing (for arguments sake)

and Rasho's expiring contract.

Somehow we need to turn that into a big man and someone who can create his own shot.

I am more concerned about a big man and defence than I am another scorer who can't defend.

and to follow up, if you want a swingman who can create his own shot and play good defense..they are not a dime a dozen, and someone that good, may take a Bosh to get, which makes it more important to get a Sammy D type guy.

I'd do that deal in a HEARTBEAT. Not so sure Philly does though.

don't give up on andreea just yet. How about this trade: CB4 for Dalembert and Young. With Sam behind his back, Andreea could concentrate on playing offense, and he would play a more natural position for his style.

That's an absolute STEAL for Philadelphia. No way BC does that.

I'd rather not trade those guys within our division - especially them being so young. Do you really want to see CB4 4 times a year for the next 10 years? Not me.

I'm sure if we offered Rasho and a future 1st to Philly, that would be enough to secure Dalembert. They don't want to be on the hook for that contract and at that length. Plus it would give them more cap room to pursue FA's in the off-season.
However, with all that being said, I'd rather have Rasho on this team and re-up him for the vet's minimum after next season.

I'd love Dalembert on this team. He doesn't like it in Philly either. He's exactly what we need.

We won't be getting a big man until the summer after this one though, we're definitley gonna try Bargnani year 3 next year, and then if that doesn't work, we'll look around. Unless we can ship Bargs this year but I don't think that'll happen.

By the way, how is Dalembert making so much damn money? I thought he wasn't all that great until this year.
