Interesting question.

So far, Bayless has shown flashes of being a legit starting PG in the NBA. During the stretch he started, he had extremely high point productions on efficient shooting and distributing the ball well.

He's been hurting recently, Jose's playing well- as a result, his production has decreased.

When healthy, he's quick, can shoot and run the offence at a good pace. I think he has a lot of potential to be special, but has to stay healthy.

MikeToronto

What makes me Say the things I have said is the Detroit Game where Bayless went 31 7 5 1. He showed leadership and poise to hit clutch shots. Then there is the Dallas game where he was leading the Team to a Victory he was the Player that was putting players in good position for shots......Watch the Dallas game again and you will see what I am talking about. The boy just needs a Chance as we saw in the game against NO he was missed.

Peace

Considering his stock is about at its peak, and he has no long term future with this team (or at least shouldn't) why would you not trade him, max value helps this team then some goofy PG most people here overrate lately.

I think Jerry'd window is quickly closing. He needed this season to show if he could be starter material. He has the handles to be a PG, but he needs to learn decision making. But up to now, he's just been a backup, and injured much of the time.

If we go into the offseason not knowing if Jerryd is a future starting PG, then we have to consider drafting a PG or otherwise acquiring one. If we go to camp with a drafted PG or someone we traded for then Jerryd is pretty well relegated to the bench.

If he's relegated to the bench, then even he, at his age, needs to consider where he wants to play.
