bargs out, but for what price ?

pick the trade seems the best for our futur and the more realistic !

1 with chicago :
Bargs for korver + asik + charlotte first 2012 (they own)

2. with NYK :
Bargs for thuriaf + fields + first 2011 NYK.

3. With Boston :
Bargs for green (S&T)

4. With Portland :
Bargs + ? for batum and oden

5. with houston :
Bargs for Patterson + hayes (S&T)

6. with Washington :
Bargs for first pick 2011 + booker

7. With Sacramento :
bargs for thompson + first pick 2011

8. With utah :
bargs + barbosa for BIG AL + J evans.

I think it would be a no brianer to go with Utah and Al Jefferson. Although we dont need another forward in evans. But to get a big like jefferson, its what we need. Would be a great big to have to go wtih our two pg's

Scully 05-07-2011 10:09 AM

Holy shit. I Love how Korver and Asik and pick = Jeff Green. Batum and Fields and Jefferson are untouchable.

dfunkie1 05-07-2011 10:33 AM

jefferson is close to worse at defence than bargs. i really like batum, but i'd be scared of what that question mark equates to in real life. 1 and 7 seem the most realistic to me and i'd probably rather have 1.

Don Vito 05-07-2011 10:36 AM

None of the above. These deals won't really help the team, and I think we can get much more from Bargnani.

Admiral 05-07-2011 10:56 AM

if we are to pick 1 of those trades i'd do any of the above that gives us a draft pick, the players in return don't really do it for me

jeffb 05-07-2011 11:59 AM

Most of those are unrealistic, NYK aren't giving us Fields, Turiaf + a pick sure but no way would we get Fields. I'd say Oden/Batum might be possible. I still wish we can somehow send GSW a package for Ellis or Cury but i can't see out biding someone for one of them. I'd still love to go after Mayo. Out of the ones you put up, i'd probably take the NYK deal, Fields/Turiaf + a pick....no brainer. But this isn't NBA 2K. lol

I don't know why you're so worried on getting a shooting guard, if anything that is the position we need to worry the least about.

Out of those deals that's the one i'd take. That simple. A draft pick a solid SG and a decent Center. Sorry, but Barbosa isn't here long term and if you have Fields you can do one of two things. Have Fileds come off the bench behind Derozan or move Derozan to SF and start Fields. Either way, to me Fields is one of the best players out of all those options and it only gives us more assets going forward. And assets equals options.

Aamir 05-07-2011 12:24 PM

Wow, way to get me all hyped up. I thought this was a quote from somewhere.

Utah or Washington. Washington would be nice. We can possibly get Irving + Williams.

Dark Knight 05-07-2011 12:25 PM

Bargs on the Knicks would be entertaining if you ask me. They'd give up 120 ppg. :police:

The Knicks don't play defense anyways, so Bargnani being on that team wouldn't matter much defensively.

batum is not untouchable, because of wallace now.
and for the right price, i think we can land him.
bargs + filler or futur pick for oden (S&T) + batum seems fair ro me.
bargs will be great for them coming of the bench as their 3rd big men behind aldrige and camby.

if i have to choose, i will hesitate between the chicago, wahs, sac and the portland trade.
batum/oden will bring us what we miss. a real 3 and a real 5 (if healthy)
but the trade 1 can be a win-win more than the other, so i would pick the 1.

moremilk 05-07-2011 01:18 PM

batum AND oden? they would have to shoot their GM after that trade ...

MARTYNAS 05-07-2011 01:33 PM

Wow, now thats unrealistic, or optimistic? You get Fields AND Turiaf AND pick... Hi Hi... Barg is no Dirk... Wanna insukt to Turiaf and Fields, those guys are damn good.

moremilk 05-07-2011 01:37 PM

actually, the one trade that seems doable is turiaf and fields
turiaf is useless, he's a supposed energy guy who rebounds worse than bargnani and he's not that good of a defender anyway. As far as fields, he's a low ceiling player, if he was drafted in the top 10 nobody would talk about him. He's done great for his draft position and he's going to be a decent rotation player for his career, but it's not like he's a future all-star or even close ... You could replace him quite easily with the MLE, he's only true value is his low salary for one more year.

Oden's trade value is virtually at zero with his knee problems. I wonder if Oden even has a future in Portland anymore.

I don't see Portland dealing Batum, however, as they were reluctant to include him in deals at the deadline.

NOW THATS A JOKE.
Turiaf averaging 4.5 rebs in 20 minutes, Bargnani averaging 5.5 rebs in 37 minutes or smth. Furthermore, Turiaf is amazing shotblocker, and he is just strong athletic body. And he is the least valuable piece of this trade.

Fields. You saw that guy? He is amazing. He has no superstar ceiling, but what is his exact ceiling nobody knows. But we know Bargs ceiling, he was here 5 years already. Fields is top5 hustle player in the league and probably top 3 smartest guy out there. He can do everything, i mean everything. his FG% is better than Bargs, 3FG% better too, he is SG-SF who averages less minutes than Bargnani, but averages more rebounds. Gee, only thing Bargs can do better, is blocking (0.7 > 0.2...). Fields is just good team player, smart and calm. He also barely do mistakes, he never rushing things and averaging only 1.3 turnovers per game (in 31 minute). And he was A ROOKIE!

Bargs for Fields would be fair, now? Fileds, Turiaf and pick? Ha, good luck.

Turiaf actually averages 3 rebounds in 18 minutes.

MARTYNAS 05-07-2011 02:23 PM

Actually, he averages more than 3 rebounds in less than 20 minutes. but I checked his previous seasons, he averages about 4.5 rebounds in 20 minutes in his career. He si better rebounder than Bargs, and not worse than Nene for example.
