Default bargs off the bench!

i beleive we bring Bargs of the bench it would benefit the team he would be the 6th man and kapono can take his spot... reasons why well first Bargs can give the bench a boost and putting JK in the starting 5 would help him with his confidence also i beleive it will giv him more shots because with him starting when teams go to double team our big 2 they can kik it out to JK or AP and the can shoot..

Depends on how we play. If we want to run, Graham or Moon would be better than Kapono. If we want to play inside out halfcourt game, then Kapono. Either way Andrea's gotta go, there's nothing having 3 7 footers is doing for us, I have no idea how we're rebounding so badly with this lineup. Plus it's turning him into a perimeter chucker instead of practicing the position we need him to for the future.

AS a Bargs supporter, I must say when we started him at the SF spot, I thought it was a big mistake. He should have continued being the 6th man off the bench. He was just starting to find his stride. Now it's the continual yo-yo in and out of the starting line-up /different positions etc. Why send him to big man camp if you want him to play small??

Well if your a coach why make Bargnani park his butt at the 3 point line all the time. Myself, I'm a big Bargnani backer and wish he does well. His talent level is so unique. He has soft hands, intelligent, good timing and very good stroke of course.

However; a combination of the team not being able to use him in the system and Bargnani being very inconsistent really impeads Bargs development. I really don't know what to make of the kid. Its his 3rd year and he still hasn't a established a consistent role with the team.

Its very disheartening being a backer. Also, on the bench or off the bench the kid just has to play. You really have no choice because if Bargs don't go so don't the raptors.

If Bargs starts tomorrow then I'll start questioning Triano.

The experiment is over, it only works vs teams with non aggressive SF's.

We're better defensively with Moon starting and thats how it should be.

Bring Bargs off the bench again. His shooting % went from 54 to 43 in the last like 5 games. Time to stop the bleeding and bring him off the bench again.

I was most encouraged with Bargnani when he was coming off the bench as playing more of a true big man role. His interior D is better suited to this, his interior scoring has also improved. I don't like him playing on the perimeter at all.

Also, having him come off the bench would be in keeping with Triano saying he wanted to decrease Bosh's minutes some. Bargnani can play both the 4 and the 5 rather nicely. At this point i'd rather one of Kapono or <shudder> moon start at small forward and make Bargnani the birst big off the bench.

EDIT: ha! you type faster than me thriller.

If Bargs comes off the bench, then the guys upstairs are not going to be happy.

I think they should give everyone a chance to be a starter if that's all it takes to gain confidence, although I'm not sure confidence is going to add up to much with some guys.

We need a group of players that feel confident with each other. I've heard a lot about bad habits, but the only really bad habit has been with regard to helping too much. Unfortunately it's also been very necessary. And there goes the breakdowns in the paint and the rebounds, and the wide-open threes. Maybe we can just play zone exclusively?

I'd rather have Adams starting and Bargs coming of the bench just so Bargs can't guard Lebron

Bargnani will be able to handle Lebron as well as anyone else on this team. I actually like the idea of having him on Lebron, and seeing if his length can be effective.

Maybe he could handle James as well as anyone, but i can also see him getting called for every single ticky-tack foul if he was guarding Lebron.

I'd rather Andrea get a well-defined role to stick with and flourish.

There's no guarantee he's going to flourish not guarding Lebron.

Wow how unanimous

I agree with everyone. It was a mistake to start Bargs at SF. He is versatile, but he can show it as well at PF or C. His range will spread the floor, make life easier under basket.

You want to be the best, you got to beat the best. If people want Andrea to be as good as he can be, he can't avoid every tough challenge that comes his way. You got to embrace them.

Bargs should be amped to go against Lebron, and if he's happy if/when Triano decides to put him on the bench instead, he should be pissed.
