At least Bargs has already won something this season...

Deron Williams has to be one of the most overrated, pussy players in league history. He has literally sulked and bitched his way to the firing of two coaches, one an NBA legend, and he still has a reputation as being some kind of star. I hope one day some team has the balls to bench him for conduct detrimental and let him rot. Pathetic waste of talent player.

I used to think he was so good in Utah and he was, but he's just let it all go to his head. It's a real shame.

Calderon may not be explosive or have the physically strength like a Deron, but he certainly is wiser with the ball, makes his team better and takes good shots, I agree Williams is overated.. heck if Raptors continue to win, and if Lowry continues to play controlled basketball I would even say hes better the Williams

YES PLEASE

Edit: Nevermind. I just took a look at his contract 10-12 mill a year through 2015. For Gallo? No thanks.

Williams was amazing in Utah.... lowry nor Jose could ever be that good... Deron's just become unfocused and lost his way a bit. He needs to dedicate himself again.... he can be a top 3 PG still.

Same money as Bargnani and imo he's more worth it than Bargnani is.

it's actually not the same money, it's an extra year. Didn't you even read his post?

Also, Danilo has struggled too this year. I'd do the deal just based on getting a SF upgrade but I think we'd need to jettison one of our many mediocre wings just so there isn't so many of them.

I wasn't talking about term. They roughly make the same money anually. Either way for a commitment of 10-12mil/yr I'll take Galo over Bargnani all day long.

he's an ultra talented PG but seems to have the opposite game plan as CP3, its not get his team going and then get himself going, its get my shots in and then let my teammates figure it out as the game goes on
it really seems like he needed that structured Utah system to keep his head in the game
might also be the fact that he was arguably the best PG in the game a 1 point finally "beating out" CP3 because he was injured and then CP3 comes back and basically just instantly takes that title away, guy must be jealous that he's always going to be 2nd best and both those guys coming into the nba at the same time means CP3 will always be in the nba as long as he's in the nba

IMO its all about a mind set for Bargs. Lets see how he does when he comes back. Bargs is a special player with a special talent. Let him be himself, work him into the line up and IMHO he will open up some eyes.

Same old song every time with Bargnani. It's over, the majority of Raptors fans are tired of hearing that Bargs is special and if we "let him be himself" he'll be better. He's had the chance and hasn't delivered. End of story.

i'm not disagreeing but mind set is part of the make-up of a player, its not just the physical skills, if you're saying he has a fragile mind and its not about the skills he possesses physically than its still something that is putting him into this disappointment HOF

Raptors can not afford that any more.

Earlier this year my strategy to deal with Bargnani was that if we're in a losing position (which we will be in a lot of games) to keep playing him until he grabs X rebounds or plays good D for X straight possessions. With Casey screaming at his ass the whole way. That's about the only thing that might work at this point. Also, someone get him into a fucking weight room, he needs to add 20 lbs of muscle.
