Default Bargs for Bynum (just for fun)

I saw an article the other day that was debating the merits of the Bynum and Gasol tandem.

One of the concerns the writer had was that both Bynum and Gasol were low post players, and then an argument was made that perhaps it would benefit the Lakers more if they had someone who could spread the floor as opposed to having Bynum clogging up the middle.

Anyway I'm not ready to give up on Bargs just yet, especially seeing as this could be his breakout season. So please don't take this as me proposing a trade...because I want Bargs here next season.

But the article got me to thinking, of the two (Bargs or Bynum) who did I think could be a better player for the Raptors???

I couldn't come up with a conclusion.

So seeing as it is slow in Raptorland I thought I would put it out there.

Who do you think would be better for the Raptors, Bargs or Bynum?? And why of course.

Some things to keep in mind; Who would play PF with Bynum?? Will we ever have a low presence with Bargs here?? Can we ever get a true center to play with Bargs?? If we did have Bynum, could we ever spread the floor with a PF that probably couldn't shoot??

We have been talking about Bynum since the trade deadline & he is dead weight unless he is healthy so why trade AB 4 Bynum when...

AB>Bynum ?

The fact that he has really bad knees makes it so the speculation even though it's for fun, the trade is way too one sided!

No thanks ... I'd rather have AB. He wants to be here and has a great physical frame that stands up well for a 7 footer.

I would rather have Bargnani. When Bynum is hurting (most of the time), he produces the most disgusting numbers in the world. And plus when he's injured, it's usually for a long stretch of time.

While we tend to over-rate our players Bargs is special even with good knees I wouldn't do the trade. With Bargs the LAL would be unstoppable.

Bynum healthy makes Bargnani look like an 8 year old girl in the paint.

Take 15 years off of Shaq's age, and he'd be better than both together.

Oh wait, we're not stating the obvious?

an injured bynum is as effective as Bargs when his head is in the clouds. both happen just as often as one another.

When Bynum is healthy he's 3x the player Bargs is. Even when he isnt healthy he has more impact on the game just with his presence on D.

That would actually be a great trade(For us only lol). We need a young center with potential and when he's injured, Bargnani will slide over and Davis will eat up minutes. Lakers NEEDED a point guard but fuck, not anymore!!

Bynum and Gasol are also insulated by some of hte best defensive perimeter guy in the league,

Kobe, Artest, Fisher, Brown, Ariza the year before

I hate shit like this because is of the what if type scenario

well what if our lineup looked like

Fisher
Kobe
Artest
Bosh
Bargnani

we probably be world champions

Bynum's not quite the bee's knees. He's not even his knees anymore.

we needed Bynum when Bosh was still here and Raptors were half court team
with the current Raptors roster Bynum and his low post presence will be wasted
