Default Bargs 5th in ESPN's MIP Watch

Quote:
5. (tie) Corey Brewer, Wolves and Andrea Bargnani, Raptors: Brewer's ever-improving jumper and confidence in attacking the rim were on display during his 15-point third quarter Saturday against the Grizzlies.

Bargnani has been getting props for his improved offensive play, but it is his post defense and shot-blocking that have stood out the most. (Last week: 4 and NR)

imo Bargs is just as important as Bosh to this team
he should be recognized better by the NBA, he'll be great someday.

I dunno about great someday. I really hope Bargs will be great but I do agree that he is almost as important as Bosh is to the Raptors.

A steal of a signing for sure

I hope this makes people happy...personally I dont' think he's got a chance and that's not a bad thing. He's doing what he needs to do to make this team better and that's all i care about.

Bargs has no chance and MIP in my opinion just because he did the majority of his growth on the offensive end last season.

While his defense has greatly improved and his offence to some extent, his stats are too similar.

If you watched him now vs. last season he would be in the running but the decision will dominated by change in offensive stats.

Yeah. If the award was based on who improved the most over the course of the second half of last season and the first half of this season, then Bargs would have a legit shot. If that was the 82 game stretch being considered, he'd probably be in the top 3.

Bargs has to help us in winning more and more games.

Yeah. That's a good way of looking at it.
