Bargnani is still plagued by poor officiating, juding by the box score and doug's chat, half the fouls were non existent, and he was unable to find a rhythm. He was pretty good in the first half, when he was shooting over 50% and had 2 blocks and 5 rebounds already.

Reverse Bosh's touches with Bargnani and he'd produce better overall stats than Bosh and the game would have a better flow for the other players as well. (and I'm talking in a season, not ONE game, ie: tonights game) Bargnani needs to get into a good rhythm but many times when on the court with Bosh he doesn't get very many chances for that.

Last season there was a game when Andrea hit like 3 shots in a row in the 4th quarter (early on) Then Bosh came in the game and took like the next 8 shots (and shot poorly) and Bargnani didn't even touch the ball. Then, on the last possession Bargnani hit the game winning 3. If they kept feeding Bargnani throughout the 4th we would have had complete control of the game and won by 8-10 points, somehow Bosh didn't recognize this and basically froze Bargnani out for a long stretch and our offense became stagnant.

"Hate" is such a strong word. It's more management/coaches that I'm annoyed with at this point. I dislike Bosh's work ethic. If Bosh was drafted by a team that had a tough minded coach and management, he'd probably be 255-260lbs (where he should be) and would have steadily improved every year (not exhibited the same stats 4 straight years as well as continuing to have the same weaknesses).

He wants it badly. They talk about how he put on 8lbs on muscle in a hope of helping him rebound in the paint. They get him in front of the camera and he talks about how he realizes the challenge he's placed in front of him is tough and he knows he won't get there without busting his ass and that's what he's doing. So, the question is do you feel he can be an All-Star this year or beyond?

My answer is no to this year and yes in the future...This season is not likely and it has to do more with others in the east than it does with him. Bargnani is competing against Howard and Shaq, two of the biggest vote getters in NBA history.
I too saw this piece on the score. It was pretty insightful, not bad. Bargnani obviously wants to be an all star, but who doesn't? He has the drive but not the skill, or fan popularity in my opinion. Some players have both of these and they still don't get in.

It's all a popularity contest so no. He will make it in the future but he will probably never be a starter in a allstar game. Look at Dirk Nowitski for instance. He has played in over 10 all star games but I don't think he has ever started because of Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett.

only the starters get picked on votes. the rest are picked by coaches. Bosh never makes it in on popularity (voted into the starting lineup)... so take that into consideration.

If barg's doesnt make the all-star team, it's not because he's not popular... it's because of everything LX pointed out. I'm thinking of framing his quote and putting it up in my room somewhere .

So now comparing Bosh's greatness compared to Bargs' in regards to one preseason game?

if they are 3rd in the conference from start to finish, there will/should be some dissapointment, especially if they have a poor record against orlando/boston/lakers.

I think anything less than a trip to the finals would be disapointing for them but they have shaq's contract almost over so they should win sooner or later unless james leaves

Can an established star "breakout"?

El Mago with 28 points vs. the Cavs. Standing O

My bad, they have listed him @ 250lbs, which they brought up last night. Shit even my girlfriend thought he looked alot bigger now over last season. No question he looks bigger and seems stronger, and your bias is showing. Either way he's up around 20lbs

If you can't tell Bosh packed on muscle over the summer then you need to start listening to the radio and stop watching the games because you're not gaining anything from it.

After watching him yesterday i think he can get 8 rebounds a game if the refs allow him to play more than 30 minutes a game, they fucked him over so bad.
