Bargnani update:

Doug Smith's column today dealt with the fact that the Raptors are keeping a very close eye on Bargnani this summer and his progression as they sent strength and conditioning coach Keith D'amelia to Italy to work with him.And he's going to Big Man Camp in July!

Interesting:Raptor coaches are positive about the O'neil trade and are looking at vintage tapes of Duncan/Robinson to see how best to play Bosh/O'neil together!

So what is BC's final plan for Bargs than...2 years from now he could start? or he's a 3? or he's a bench player...To be honest i really like our frontcourt now with Bargs off the bench, how many matchups Bosh, O'neil and Bargs can take advantage of is going to make us a dangerous team to play against

convinced that Raptors fans are only happy when they're unhappy.

Right now, Bargnani's coming off the bench till either Bosh or O'Neal hurt themselves. He's waaaay too slow to keep up with smaller plus faster SF's, so I don't see him starting at SF either. Best he can do is sit, come on as a sub and continue waiting for his time if Colangelo refuses to deal him elsewhere.

I think he could start against other SF's that have similar physical attributes such as Turkoglu, Yi and Gallinari although most won't fit into this category.

Which ones?

Which European players are soft?

And please don't count running your mouth off and acting like a thug as "hard", because it ain't.

Come on man, lets cut this whole whos tougher crap, yes some Euros are tough like Garbo. But in America there much easier to find.
If you want to find a real center who plays D, rebounds, Posts up, and doesnt settle for the J, you look in the states.
Im not hating on euros, im one myself.

i don't think there are many legitimate tough guys in the league anymore

but

how often do you see a euro take it to the rim hard with contact, set a bone jarring pick, crash the boards, or just even play physical. not often.

oh

garbs wasn't exactly tough either. smart experienced player, yes.

Turiaf plays pretty physical. Nocioni who played in Europe. Elson. Gadzuric?

The dominant feature of european play is putting the team first, and not necessarily by sacrificing the body as much as in the mental approach. But to describe them all as soft is not fair. The whole league is pretty soft.
