Which was also ridiculous, it's not like he gave up on the team or demanded a trade. The fan should learn how to support the team first before we are judging our players and throw them under the bus. Let's say your beloved KL struggles throughout the season, would you boo him?

Jose is respected to a degree and at least has been on an important piece for the squad in 07 and 08. Not to mention his accolades with Espana. Meanwhile Bargs on the other hand...

Are you for real? Don't make assinine replies. Some fans supported him and a thank you is leaving with class. It doesn't matter that many booed him. By not thanking them, it gives the boo-ers some satisfaction. By thanking those that did support him, it's a better way of thumbing his nose at the detractors. I didn't like him since early in his first season so I'm not one of those that the thank you would be for. But, he's not a Raptor any more and saying thanks closes the door.

I wouldn't, but others probably would.

Which shouldn't be. I don't see the point of booing our own players, as long as they play for team, and try to win etc... But if they are demanding a trade, or playing bitches, sure why not.

Yes, the TO media did that, but nowhere near what the New York media is capable of doing.

+1

He's basically going to the NBA's Leafs. So the market is intensified to that degree, etc.

Al Iannazzone ✔ @Al_Iannazzone

Bargnani said he will "focus a lot" on defense and rebounding. "I got to get better in many aspects of the game," he said.

Why would he thank Toronto fans in the NY media?

Sure, but he was also booed here at times. Some actually liked and respected Bargnani the first 5-6yrs of his career too.

I was one, but booing isn't in my nature really. I had high hopes for AB - serviceable at the very least - I just end up becoming apathetic to the player and eventually the team - which is what I've kinda been the last few years. (It's stop me from busting my TV)

Which is all about effort. He might as well have said he doesn't want to dunk anymore lol

You wanna tell me he wasn't serviceable? Disappointing as a 1st pick, for sure, but say he was apathetic and not even serviceable? It's not like the whole team was bringing it and he totally sucked. There is no love for Bargs here, me included, but if you look at his stats for the last few seasons, which I am sure you did, you cannot say he was unserviceable.
