I think that OKC is wishing that they still had Green right about now.... they need some extra in the worst way.

No to the trade.

I still hold out hope that Bargs can be a difference maker on a good team. He really is a match up nightmare for opposing coaches.

I say the Raptors draft Valanciunas and move Bargs to the bench after Valanciunas matures into a starter.

Aside:

The Raptors fan base is very bipolar at times.

Bargs was battling fatigue, injury and a definite losing record towards the end of the season. I think those impressions still linger. He was very good at the beginning of the season. I find it frustrating that so many want to run this guy out of town. He has his flaws, but can still be valuable.

He really doesn't deserve to be run out of town like Hedo was.

Please, many good players have been brought up and comments like "i don't think he would make much of a difference" are always made. Jeff Green is just the latest.

Figured what the hell, he's better then the Italian Marshmellow but this trade would never happen anyway since Boston would never be that stupid and this thread has gone on too long imo. Fuck it, he sucks.......sure.

I'm not opposed to a trade but when you have 4 bench quality small forwards and add another bench quality small forward it handicaps us from getting a good starting quality small forward.

Green would be by far our best SF, he scored 16/6 in OKC as the third option and was playing 30+mpg. To lump him in with Weems and Johnson who has what 3 months under his belt and was in the D league a few months ago is mind boggling and typical of a fan base that overrates it's players regularly and turns on other players in the league on a dime. Whatever, i've got a headache. lol

D-League isn't a bad thing, JJ wasn't getting playtime so it made sense for him to goto D-League. Ed Davis was in D-League, does that mean he is shit? Hell no. Jeff Green doesn't address any problem areas this team has, making him more useless than he is with the Celtics.

It's funny, you questioned how good Green was because he got traded, but you defend an unproven player that wasn't playing in Chicago and was sent to the D league and then he himself was traded. Davis went to the D league for two games for conditioning after missing training camp and the first month of the season, stupid comparison.

Chicago couldn't find any playing time for JJ because of Luol Deng. They knew they were going to trade JJ in a deal so they sent him into D-League to also bring up his conditioning so hes ready to go in his new team. If they knew they were going to trade him they wouldn't let him collect dust on the bench, it just doesn't make any sense. D-League is not a bad thing. What is Green doing so good in Boston that makes you think he'd be good here? He can't create for teammates, he turns the ball over, he is bad at defense, and is an inconsistent shooter. Talk about overrated..

Green is a 4 stuck in a 3's body. He doesn't have a position on the floor. Don't waste your time drooling over Jeff Green and figure out a way to get a guy like Wilson Chandler or even better.
