Matt Devlin just said that Bargnani is at least 10 days away.

I was serioiusly going to write about 20 minutes ago that Bargnani would probably come back for the Pistons so that he misses D12, Gasol and Dalembert/Scola.

I get the impression they're guarding his confidence like a boxer, being selective in their match-ups to keep the mojo going. Maybe he'll get injured just before we play the Bulls on the 21st.

According to Raptors PR yesterday was his first work on the court shooting.

According to Ryan Wolstat will most likely miss next 2 games unless he really picks it up.

So were looking at next week as the earliest possible return

As expected, Andrea Bargnani (calf) will not play vs. the Warriors on Sunday.
Bargnani continues to go through strength and conditioning drills, but after such a long layoff it's taking him a while to get back to full speed. It seems very unlikely that he would play on Monday without going through a full practice, but he could return Wednesday vs. the Rockets.

Apparently Casey said he would have practised with the team today but they had a light practise.

The National Post reports that Toronto coach Dwane Casey said injured center Andrea Bargnani has no definite timeline for his return from a strained left calf. “We’re getting closer and we’re getting closer,” Casey said. “But again, he’s got to listen to his body and come back on his terms.” Casey hopes Bargnani can return at some point during the upcoming homestand, which includes Orlando on Monday and Houston on Wednesday. “Personally,” Casey said, “I’d feel more comfortable putting him out there with a practice under his belt.”

From CBS Sports...

He's getting closer, I'm saying Wed vs Houston. It's interesting though, how many home games has he played this year lol? Like 4? 4 and a half?

I heard on the radio today that the earliest he'd be back is on the weekend vs Detroit. I still say 10 days away.

If he comes back and they finish 9th in the EC, someone's getting a kick in the ass.

For as much as some think a high pick is not worth that much or still a big gamble, packaging a player and a #3 to 5 pick is quite a bit different return than packaging a player and a #13 to 15 pick.

And guys like Thabeet and Charlie V are more likely to be hiding in the later picks.

The Raptors want Andrea Bargnani (calf) to get a couple full practices in before he returns to a game.
There is no firm target date for Bargnani yet, but he sounds close. The Raptors are off Tuesday, have a game Wednesday and then have back-to-back practice sessions scheduled for Thursday and Friday. The Toronto Sun is speculating that Bargnani could return on Saturday or Sunday, but adds that he's unlikely to play on consecutive nights at first.

Rotoworld

Oh ya, and today he was at UTM

It'd be interesting to see how many games we could've won if Bargs didn't miss any games. At this point, I only want to see if he keeps up the intensity we saw in the 13 games he played.

coming back, i expect his numbers and/or intensity to drop, not too much, but enough that some guys here would be calling for his head. But really, the guy's been out for what, 2 months? you expect him to play at the same level right off the gate?

This injury was the worst possible thing that could have happened to both Bargnani and the Franchise right now.

If it didnt we'd be fighting for the 8th seed. Its nice Bargs is growing up this year, but being a treadmill fringe playoff team is not in this teams best interests.
