Triano had a D system, he just didn't hold anyone accountable, which proved fatal with lazy sunbathers in the team. This and the untimely fixtures vs. Magic, who require a different D, rendered Triano plans of a better D.
Do you think Bargnani cares at this stage of the season if the team win more games? I'm guessing he'll come in to stretch his legs vs. attractive match ups and see what happens in the summer.

No, I think Bargnani has been cruelly mismanaged. Smitch traumatized him, JT was afraid to go there. And it gets harder to change a player's approach with each year. Casey has managed to create an illusion of improvement, but had to compromise, which is not helpful to AB's focus.
So I'm afraid at this stage it's too late. You can't build a defense oriented team with AB.
It doesn't mean he can't be successful, lighting up teams from the bench.

Bargnani is in a new sprite commercial with the likes of Kobe Bryant and Lebron James.

Rudy is there too. They are part of the "NBA international elite".

Been out since Jan27th, nearing a month!

Still no word if he's started on court workouts.

From Doug Smith:

"Well, I heard this weekend that Andrea’s doing a little bit of running and on-court work, would suggest to me that it will be Friday at the very earliest that he returns and next Sunday might be more realistic."

A bit of running? I say another two weeks.

Andrea Bargnani (calf) is traveling with the Raptors for their upcoming two-game road trip.
An official update on Bargnani's status is expected following Monday night's practice in Houston. But the simple fact that he's with the team for this mini-trip is an extremely positive sign. If Bargnani wasn't close to a return, it would make more sense to stay in Toronto and rehab ahead of the upcoming four-game homestand. It sounds like there's at least a chance Bargnani returns for Tuesday's game against the Rockets.

Andrea Bargnani (calf) did not practice on Monday, but did some conditioning and running off to the side.
This is a bit disappointing after it was reported that Bargnani would travel with the team for Tuesday's and Wednesday's game, as it seems unlikely that the Raptors would throw him back into action without giving him at least one practice. The Raptors also added that he has no return date, so owners will want to approach this week with kid gloves unless a more positive report emerges.

I'm telling you, two more weeks. He isn't even taking part in full practice.

I'm going to predict Friday at the earliest, with Monday home to Orlando looking like a better possibility
